It's conveniently located by all of the resort amenities. The ground floor is easily accessible and located by our heated pool, whirlpool, sauna, tennis and basketball courts!! Unit has been fully renovated with everything you need to have a great stay. Enjoy a quiet evening watching movies on the Blu-Ray player and preparing dinner in the well equipped kitchen.
El Matador Condominiums are located next to 17 miles of uninhabited beach. To make your Florida vacation unforgettable, our beach resort offers an array of amenities which includes two pools (one is heated seasonally), tennis/pickle ball and basketball courts, a fitness center, whirlpools, saunas, meeting rooms and more! Resting on over 12 acres, El Matador is beautifully landscaped and meticulously attended featuring lush palm trees and manicured lawn. The resort is accented by surrounding sugar-white sand, the sparkling surf, and is convenient to many unique shopping establishments fine restaurants and a variety of water sports.
Age Requirement: NO reservations will be accepted for singles under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian shall be allowed to supervise no more than 3 individuals under the age of 25. Parent or legal guardian MUST occupy the same room as those they are supervising. Any reservations made under false pretenses will forfeit all prepaid rents and deposits and will be required to vacate the unit.

Great vacation experience!
We spent 7 days in 612 at the El Matador and had a wonderful experience. The unit was clean and super comfortable. Staff was very accommodating even changing a burned out light bulb on the porch. The grounds are spectacular and close proximity to a beautiful section of the beach that’s not overcrowded. Washer & dryers are commercial grade and reasonably priced. We plan to stay here again and highly recommend this rental unit.

Wonderful Vacation
Always enjoy Okaloosa Island at Ft Walton. This unit was especially modern and clean and exceeded our expectations. All of the appliances were updated and new. Loved everything about our stay. The upkeep of the grounds and the security were amazing as well. Thanks El Matador for a wonderful vacation for me and my girls!

22nd Anniversary Celebration
Our condo was so nice, clean, comfortable. The resort is so quiet & well maintained. We enjoyed the beautiful pools, hot tub, sauna and pickleball courts. The beach is so private and beautiful. We enjoyed visiting nearby restaurants and museums.

Excellent stay for honeymooners
Our stay with the folks at El Matador could not have been more accomodating. We were gifted with this stay for our honeymoon...everything was perfect. Close to restaurants, private beach, shopping, museums...Fort Walton Beach/Destin areas have it all. We hope to visit again in the future.

Good Condo!
This condo was great! The perfect size and plenty of in-house things such as toilet paper, soap, etc. The condo, however, looks a little dated on the walls and floors. Definitely could use a fresh coat of paint! It could also be a little cleaner! We had some long hair all over the bathroom, but other than that it was very clean! Would stay again!

Wonderful Location!
My daughter and I stayed here for a week and it was an absolutely fabulous location. A short walk to the beach, loved that we were ground floor (made packing / unpacking and bringing anything in from the car or the beach wagon in very easy!) We were also incredibly close to the heated pool and the hot tub - both of which we really enjoyed. The beach is sensational. The location is tucked up against the air force base which I felt really kept that section of the beach quieter compared to the further down the strip. Just beautiful sand, waves, and sky. The unit itself was perfect for our needs. Just be sure you bring any possible consumable items you could use for your visit - or the Publix and Target aren't too far if you forget anything. The coffee maker uses 8-12 cup cone filters FYI (this was essential for me)! Paper towels and kleenex were items I hadn't thought to bring either but needed. Lots of sunblock and aloe too! There are plenty of restaurants that you can do take out or delivery from (delivery.com is the service that seems to be most widely used from that location). The staff we interacted with were all very friendly and nice. I have no complaints - the only thing I would "wish" for that isn't available is in-unit laundry, but they do have it available on site. I was pricing condos before we left. It was a wonderful, wonderful location!

Perfect for Two
I absolutely loved Unit 612. The color and decor was updated. The brick wall and high ceilings made it feel very spacious. I am an owner of Unit 255 and only rented because we had too many guests with us and wanted more room so our parents wouldn't have to share a bathroom with us. If I ever get in a bind and again I will definitely book your romantic land cozy little space. I liked being able to walk right out to my car without having to take the elevator. The bed was very comfy and the recliner was so comfy I plan to buy the same brand for myself. The only negatives I could really say was that someone who rents or owns in that building has a dog or cat resulting in front hallway pet odor. It wouldn't stop me from staying there again as my Unit was very clean. Thanks for letting us use your space.

They had toilet paper 2 rolls. They had pots, pens, blender, hand blender to make a cake, toaster, coffee maker, microwave.all you really need to bring an extra hand towels extra toilet paper a sponge to wash dishes some dish detergent or dish washer detergent.

This was our first trip to Florida and we Loved every bit of it! Our condo was Great it had everything thing we needed and more! We Loved the beach and its scenery, pools, hot tub and the staff was very polite! Also, we enjoyed Destin, Florida! From now on El Matador will be our yearly vacation spot!

Paradise Found
El Matador to us is a place to find peace and beauty. You get the ocean, the sand dunes, and the old world look of the buildings themselves. The staff is very friendly and they make us feel like part of their family. The rooms, pools, and grounds are always clean and well taken care of. We would recommend staying here to everyone.

Condo on the beach
I was extremely happy with my stay in unit 612. The kitchen was stocked with all necessary dishware, the shower was exquisite, all appliances were top notch. I did not expect such a wonderful condo. The location was a short distance from the beach, on which I was married. The staff went above and beyond their call of duty. I over looked my reservation instructions and didn't know they office closed at a certain time. My husband and I showed up a day early after the office closed. The young man on guard duty went out of his way to call the office attendant to see if she would come and help us. The office attendant turned around from her drive home and helped us book day early. All staff members were very pleasant. I was very pleased with my stay and would love to stay in unit 612 again. Although, I would love to see how nice the rest are as well. I would recommend El Matador to all my friends and family. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.
