El Matador Condominiums are located next to 17 miles of uninhabited beach. To make your Florida vacation unforgettable, our beach resort offers an array of amenities which includes two pools (one is heated seasonally), tennis/pickle ball and basketball courts, a fitness center, whirlpools, saunas, meeting rooms and more! Resting on over 12 acres, El Matador is beautifully landscaped and meticulously attended featuring lush palm trees and manicured lawn. The resort is accented by surrounding sugar-white sand, the sparkling surf, and is convenient to many unique shopping establishments fine restaurants and a variety of water sports.
Age Requirement: NO reservations will be accepted for singles under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian shall be allowed to supervise no more than 3 individuals under the age of 25. Parent or legal guardian MUST occupy the same room as those they are supervising. Any reservations made under false pretenses will forfeit all prepaid rents and deposits and will be required to vacate the unit.

This unit was very comfortable. The view of the sunset on the bay was gorgeous. The only reason I didn't give it an excellent rating was the tv in the bedroom was not working.

The unit itself was great. It is a nice view of the waterway and sunset. It had everything we needed for the week. Exactly as advertised. I we would prefer an outdoor hot tub near the pool where the whole family can get in. I guess that is our only complaint that the hot tubs are in separate shower rooms for men and women. Also, the elevators are too small for some of the luggage racks. It was a struggle to get the bigger, luggage racks into the elevator

Amazing experience
Condo was beautiful! Had everything we needed, we didn’t want to leave. The complex was very clean and the staff were so friendly. The heated pool was so nice and the kids loved it! Perfectly secluded but a quick drive to the pier and restaurants. Can’t say enough good things about our experience.

Unit 554, El Matador
The the views from the balcony were fabulous, sunset was unbelievable. The only fault we could find with this unit was the living room furniture was very dated and the mattress in the bedroom was very noisy. This unit was very clean. We will rent this unit again.

Quiet, Clean, Comfortable
My wife and I vacation in Fort Walton Beach every fall. This is the first time we have stayed at El Matador, but it won’t be the last. The condo was above expectations. A huge living area with a large deck and a nice view of East Pass. The grounds were immaculate, the pools clean and well kept.

Nice Quiet Place
Very nice quite location, very large condo complex, but still not too crowded The unit was very spacious , I wish the units had a washer and dryer as I would probably stay a couple of weeks , instead of just 3 days. Overall a very pleasant vacation at The El Matador

The Place to Stay
We stayed at El Matador from a recommendation from a friend, and we were not disappointed. If you are looking to just relax, this is the place to go! It's a quiet community with friendly staff and amazing residents of the property who are willing to give recommendation of places to eat or just strike up a good conversation. The building were kept very clean and the accommodations were great. Don't miss out on this gem of a place to stay.

Excellent vacation
My husband & I enjoyed our stay at El Matador last week. Unit 554 was spacious with a great harbor view. We enjoyed the pools, Beach & great seafood. The only negative to our annual beach vacation was the Stormy weather!! Thanks a lot mother nature!! Ha Ha

Some electrical problems. Sliding door was broken, would not lock. Kitchen Spigot leaked. Staff was very, very good to deal with. Fixed many of the issues.

We LOVE the El Matador Resort! The location is excellent & grounds are meticulously maintained! We enjoyed the Sound view in bldg 5. Housekeeping does a wonderful job of keeping the condos clean!

Love It!
This is the second year I have stayed in this unit. I love it! I love the new hardwood floors. The only thing I want to report is the electric receptacles at the dining table and at the couch (to the left facing the couch) need replacing, because plugs won't stay in there. (i.e. Cell phone wall chargers and computer charger). That is NOT a big thing, but I thought it needed to be reported. All in all, it was a great experience staying in 554 again. I intend on staying there again next year.

We were so pleased with our May 2016 stay in unit 554! Condo was very clean and spacious! This condo goes down as one of our favorites! We enjoyed the pool near Building 5 also and look forward to returning in July! Thanks for everything!

Spring vacation
Thank you for your hospitality, our stay was a wonderful experience. The one bedroom condo was clean, very spacious and the kitchen fully equipped. Our children played on the beach and swam in the pool. My husband and I enjoyed barbecuing chicken on your grill.

Wonderful vacation
We enjoyed our stay in unit 554. The only thing missing was sunshine !! Since we had rain and clouds most of the time. The unit was very nice and the staff there was exceptional ! Very helpful and eager to please. We would stay there again !

The room was very nice. A large kitchen and den area and a bath and nice size bedroom. The only problem we had was with some of the electrical outlets. The plugs would not stay in some of the outlets and the outlet behind the desk, the top plugs did not work. Other than that, we were completely pleased with our room.

Although the place was a little dated it was nice. We would have thought for the price they would provide shampoo and conditioner with the soap and dish soap. We will defiantly be back again. It was very family oriented and quite. Property was well maintained. Overall it was a very good experience.

almost perfect!
The unit: decor was nice, furniture was in great shape. My daughter used the sofa bed, which folded out and went back easily for her. Everything was clean and laid out nicely. The kitchen may need an update though. The dishwasher was extremely loud, and the oven got way hotter than expected and burned a pan of biscuits. Also, the cookie sheet provided was too large for the oven, which is probably why a previous renter had bent the sides up so it would fit. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of towels, and I was impressed by the larger living area. Outdoors: the soundside view from the balcony was beautiful, the parking lot and beach were very clean, plenty of parking spaces near the door. Overall a wonderful stay! El Matador is our favorite place to vacation on the beach!

What a great condo! We were very happy with this rental. It was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Lots of room - living room is huge. King bed was wonderful. We didn't want to leave - and will definitely be back! Office staff are always so nice and helpful. Love that it has security at the gate. Thanks so much!
