El Matador Condominiums are located next to 17 miles of uninhabited beach. To make your Florida vacation unforgettable, our beach resort offers an array of amenities which includes two pools (one is heated seasonally), tennis/pickle ball and basketball courts, a fitness center, whirlpools, saunas, meeting rooms and more! Resting on over 12 acres, El Matador is beautifully landscaped and meticulously attended featuring lush palm trees and manicured lawn. The resort is accented by surrounding sugar-white sand, the sparkling surf, and is convenient to many unique shopping establishments fine restaurants and a variety of water sports.
Age Requirement: NO reservations will be accepted for singles under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian shall be allowed to supervise no more than 3 individuals under the age of 25. Parent or legal guardian MUST occupy the same room as those they are supervising. Any reservations made under false pretenses will forfeit all prepaid rents and deposits and will be required to vacate the unit.

Great all around
Upon checkin the guard was very friendly and helpful in explaining the process of picking up our keys at the lockbox. Once in the condo we were very pleased at the cleanliness. There were a few things that we touched up but overall very happy. Cleanliness is the most important part of my stay at any location. We did have an issue with the tub/shower not draining but I emailed the issue and someone came to fix the problem. The condo itself is beautiful, functional and has an AMAZING view! We do plan to be back and will choose this condo everytime!!

Very relaxing
This was our first time staying here and it was quiet with easy access to the beach. When I stay at a hotel I want to be out of the room, but here I wanted to stay in and relax.

The interior of the unit is very well done. The bathrooms have been redone. Upon arrival, we discovered that dishes put in the cabinet were dirty. It took two loads to clean plates and bowls. The dishwasher in the unit needs the basket replaced. It has rusted, there are missing posts that have broken off. While we were there the icemaker quit working. Management was nice to give us a coupon to get a free bag of ice. The view from the unit is amazing. The outdoor furniture is very comfortable. If available, we will definitely choose this unit again. To the owners, thank you for the manner in which the unit is decorated.

Very nice condo, very clean. It had everything we needed and the management company was very accommodating to our needs. The beach service was also very handy. Don't forget to step out your front door in the evenings to see uninterrupted views of spectacular sunsets.We highly recommend this unit for its views and its amenities.

COVID-19 Getaway
We so enjoyed this unit. The removal of entry wall and new ceiling in kitchen opened up this unit to a cheery entry. The kitchen was amply supplied with every need and the view was gorgeous. Being on the 6th floor eliminated overhead noise and abutting the military property made the beach empty and safe. We also enjoyed the sturdy and comfortable porch furniture and a few extras like beach toys. We want to go back for a month next time.

Wedding trip

We have vacationed at El Matador for many years. Condo 466 was the nicest condo we've ever had there. Very impressed with the kitchen, as well as the comfort of the beds and furniture. We usually try a new space every year in building 3 or 4, but for future visits will definitely use this condo!

Bed frames on twin beds still need to be replaced. This was supposed to be submitted to the owners last year when we stayed in their unit but nothing has been done yet. The frames are wobbly and not safe. They are not the quality that should be used for continued rental use.

Room 466 El Matador
Me and my family had a great time at the El Matador. I like how the grounds were kept up and the pools were very clean. I am looking forward to coming back. It's hard for me to look at other condos because I really love the El Matador. I didn't get to talk to the staff much cause I was too busy enjoying the beach and we never had any problems with our stay. If I make it back next year I'm going to come down a day early and spend the night somewhere else. I arrived at 6 or 7 Saturday. My room was ready early and we could have enjoyed all the amenities and had a extra day. This place is wonderful and I would highly recommend it.

We usually stay at El Matador at least 1 week per year. It is a beautiful location for a quiet and relaxing time at the beach. The property is well maintained and unit 466 is one of our favorite units. Check in was very easy and we arrived earlier than planned. Our unit was ready and the manager was very kind about allowing to check in early. Thank you for a very relaxing week at the beach.

Beautiful View, Nicely Decorated, Easy Entrance
First of all, the view was gorgeous. Secondly, we loved the updated décor. As a previous owner, I appreciated the effort that was put towards the décor. Lastly, with six adults and other family members on the property, it was great having the keypad for entry rather than try to share keys. We would definitely request to rent this unit again!!!! Cannot praise it enough!!!!

The best unit so far :)
We absolutely loved unit 466 - the decoration was beautiful and open! We also loved sitting on the deck each morning with the beautiful sunrise shining on us as we had our coffee - so perfect! The unit has every cooking utensil imaginable! Great unit :D

Fort Walton Beach's best kept secret
The El Matador is a gem! The grounds, beach, pool, and common areas are meticulously maintained. The staff and security are friendly and welcoming. We stayed in unit 466 and I am so happy we did! It felt like home the minute we opened the door. The views from the balcony were breathtaking, and the unit was super clean and so tastefully decorated. The kitchen was spacious, well equipped and frankly, a joy to cook in. The complex is in a great location- 10 minutes to the grocery store or the Boardwalk, which our adult children enjoyed for an evening out, yet private enough to not feel "touristy". I highly recommend El Matador. We are already planning next year's vacation!

Very nice condo
We have stayed at El Matador several time and this year was our best stay thus far. We were in condo #466. It has been completed remodeled. It has an open kitchen with all new appliances/cabinets and fully stocked with anything you may need for cooking etc. Bathrooms are completely remodeled as well. We always enjoy El Matador and highly recommend it especially for families. It has very nice grounds for young children to safely run around etc.

We're coming back next year !
We have arrived 2 hours before our check-in time and the staff welcomed us with a smile then checked us in. Our unit was great and the view was just priceless! The staff is very friendly and helpful, the beach is right in front of you. We're definitely coming back next year!

A wonderful trip
I was in a panic looking for a place to stay at the last minute and I was wonderfully surprised at what I found. It was such a surprise and the condo was beautiful. We will for sure be renting again on our next trip to Fort Walton Beach. Thank you for a wonderful weekend in one of the best units on the beach.
