El Matador Condominiums are located next to 17 miles of uninhabited beach. To make your Florida vacation unforgettable, our beach resort offers an array of amenities which includes two pools (one is heated seasonally), tennis/pickle ball and basketball courts, a fitness center, whirlpools, saunas, meeting rooms and more! Resting on over 12 acres, El Matador is beautifully landscaped and meticulously attended featuring lush palm trees and manicured lawn. The resort is accented by surrounding sugar-white sand, the sparkling surf, and is convenient to many unique shopping establishments fine restaurants and a variety of water sports.
Age Requirement: NO reservations will be accepted for singles under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian shall be allowed to supervise no more than 3 individuals under the age of 25. Parent or legal guardian MUST occupy the same room as those they are supervising. Any reservations made under false pretenses will forfeit all prepaid rents and deposits and will be required to vacate the unit.

We loved it!
My family loved this unit so much! There was plenty of room for all of us. The view was incredible. We loved being in the building closest to the stairs to get on the beach. The only negative we had about the unit was that the fridge wasn’t keeping our stuff very cold. We didn’t complain because it was tolerable. We will 100% look into this unit for next year!

Great view/location
I don't think the AC was working properly. Our bedding and furniture seemed damp. Beautiful view. Garbage nearby was convenient. Nice big patio. Love the beachy decor.

Beautiful view
Beautiful VIEW! New carpet, comfortable beds, and well stocked kitchen with new appliances- it appears owner is working on updates. The AC unit smelled musty and we had a ceiling leak during the start of our stay. Unit could use new furniture...but all was very functional. We would rent this unit again.

I have stayed at El Matador many times and the staff is great. I have also stayed in this condo before and it was perfect as always. I would recommend to anyone and will definitely be returning. I am now able to come down 2 times a year and would not stay anywhere else.

Returning tenants
We love this unit 458. We have stayed in others; ground floor to end units, 1 bed-2bedr...but this is the best location for views & unit layout. We come down every 6 myths & have found El Matador to be the best by far! Everything is so clean and always enough towels to kitchen items, only thing needed is food,,,lol only thing I wish they included is beach chairs service; we haul our own & it's getting to be hard to do, the beach service is too expensive daily. We are returning in June 2017!! See you then!!

Memories Revisted
We vacationed at the El Matador for over twenty years as our children grew up. For our 70th birthdays we decided to come back for a few days and found nothing had changed; still the quiet family atmosphere with a great beach and amenities that gave us such wonderful memories. Great view of the Gulf from our room. Hope to be back for 71th!

Great Week on Okaloosa Island
We love the El Matador and go every year for at least 1 week. The only problem was a leak from upstairs. We had to call maintenance and you could see where it had leaked before over the sink, but this time it was coming down the closet doors.
Definitely need to get that fixed.

Great condo, very comfortable and well equipped
The kitchen was the most well-stocked of any condo we have stayed in. And we have stayed in many!just replace the master shower head and it would be perfect. Very comfy bed,soft comforter! thank you!!!

You will NOT be disappointed
The View was spectacular! This unit was unbelievable, everything you need and then some. My husband had unexpected foot surgery just before we left and was not able to get his feet in the ocean; this unit was just what he needed, he didn't feel like he missed out on a thing. he was able to sit on the balcony and watch everything that was going on and not miss a beat. our only complaint is not having a washer/dryer in the unit; it is a pain to have to go down the by the elevators to do your laundry, having to find quarters to be able to do your laundry, then having to get your laundry before someone else needs the machine; (I encountered an angry woman that thought it was her own personal machines & didn't like my clothes in her way or my intrusion. when I started my laundry there were no signs of anyone being in there or using the machines.) That was just a minor issue, and will not keep us from returning; however, it is a concern. I love how you can look out the front door & windows and see the bay then walk to the balcony and have the ocean!! the sound of the ocean at night is amazing!!! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your unit! We will be returning next year, if not sooner.

AWESOME Visit!
Our family had a wonderful vacation. Very relaxing! The unit was very clean and has a homey feel. We rented the same unit last year and could not wait to rent it again this year. The staff was very informative. We like the fact that there is a security guard that is stationed at the entrance and makes the rounds around the complex. Looking forward to 2016.

Stunning view! It's the best condo on the block.Fabulous balcony with fan.The owners have put a lot of love into this condo with their beach memorabilia. Kitchen is very well stocked. Layout is great for a family of four. Price is affordable. Condo was clean, well maintained. Everything worked! The decor is dated but this is what makes this condo affordable.

We really enjoyed our stay this week. The condo was perfect. The view was awesome and the weather was perfect as well. This is our fourth time staying at your complex. 7 Days of Heaven
My two friends and I enjoyed a great stay at El Matador. It was my first time there (one of my friends had stayed there several times before many years ago). We loved the condo's decor; we spent many hours on the balcony with fabulous views; there were plenty of dishes, cookware, and kitchen utensils to use when we didn't eat out. The location was wonderful...right on the beach with the restricted space to our right was great... not too much traffic or too many folks crowding the beach. It was quick and easy to get to all the places we wanted to go to in FWB and Destin. We had a fantastic week. Everything was perfect! Even the weather!
