The kitchen is fully furnished with everything you need to enjoy a great meal while you watch the waves crash onto the beach from your balcony. With 2 TV's and 1 smart TV in the living room, everyone can watch what they want and there is plenty of space for sleeping six. The fun decorations within the unit enhances your vacation experience.

El Matador Condominiums are located next to 17 miles of uninhabited beach. To make your Florida vacation unforgettable, our beach resort offers an array of amenities which includes two pools (one is heated seasonally), tennis/pickle ball and basketball courts, a fitness center, whirlpools, saunas, meeting rooms and more!  Resting on over 12 acres, El Matador is beautifully landscaped and meticulously attended featuring lush palm trees and manicured lawn. The resort is accented by surrounding sugar-white sand, the sparkling surf, and is convenient to many unique shopping establishments fine restaurants and a variety of water sports.

Age Requirement:  NO reservations will be accepted for singles under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian shall be allowed to supervise no more than 3 individuals under the age of 25. Parent or legal guardian MUST occupy the same room as those they are supervising. Any reservations made under false pretenses will forfeit all prepaid rents and deposits and will be required to vacate the unit.

We enjoyed our stay at the El Matador. This was not our first visit. While this unit is very outdated as fas as decor, the view of the gulf more than makes up for it. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and I hope that they get a new mattress soon. But all that said, we really enjoyed our stay. It was a much needed get away in a crazy 2020

the experience was good except for the weather. the room was ok maybe a little old but nice. The only negitive was parking (because of the rain). It was hard to find a spot near our building.

Absolute Paradise!
The management and staff are genuinely friendly,and always helpful and pleasant. The unit was gorgeous, and the view was absolutely amazing! I cannot imagine my husband and I staying anywhere else, ever!!! Thank you, El Matador for being super!!!

Great visit
This is one of the nicer condos in which we have stayed. Well appointed, decorated, and stocked. There is absolutely nothing we needed and couldn't find in this unit. Killer views - I loved the high top table and stools on the balcony. Perfect for seeing the great view.

Wonderful place
Everything was perfect, the condo, the location, the beach. Very friendly environment perfect for families. We had a wonderful time and won't hesitate to go back again. The apartment was perfect, great size, wonderful view, extremely clean and well organized and just steps away from the beach and the pool. Many thanks for a wonderful time.

Wonderful Stay!
We had a wonderful stay at El Matador. Our rooms were clean enough based on the age of the carpet, etc. The dishes were probably washed with the cheap soap provided and they may not have been as clean as I like. It would also be great to have provided regular dish soap. Coming in on a Saturday may have made the trash a problem. There was trash piled on one landing and in our laundry area. It was not removed until Monday. The staff was very kind and personable.

I will definitely be back to El Matador. It is a great place to stay. Our unit was spotless when we arrived. We had an awesome beach view. I love that the unit was stocked w necessities and we had access to a grill. My only request, and a rather large one, is that the owners of El Matador consider changing the way you do business with Sunset (the blue chair/umbrella) co. My family brought our own chairs and umbrellas and felt as though we were condemned to either stare at the back of a blue chair or set up on the illegal side of the beach (we opted for the latter because I did not pay a heap ton of money to look at the back of Sunsets chairs). I am aware that the relationship between El Matador and Sunset will probably not change as I am sure you are making a nice chunk of money off of their service. I also understand that many other condos are using this company and companies like Sunset. I do ask that you consider having the company share the beachfront with those of us who choose to bring our own equipment instead of the company having a worker out on the beach at 730am lining up tons of sets of chairs and umbrellas all in a row in front of the condo forcing the people that are not using their service to walk very far in the sand to set up on the side of them (which happens to be in the restricted area or almost in front of the next condo down) or even worse, behind them. It seems very inconsiderate yet when I spoke to the worker he assured me that this is what El Matador wants. I just ask that you reevaluate this issue and try to accommodate for those of us fruggle penny pinchers who can't afford (or just find it unnecessary) to drop $30 extra daily on chair rentals. We, too, deserve legal beachfront space with great views of the waves.

Family vacation
We enjoyed our stay at your facility. The accommodations we great. Everyone was friendly. A special thanks to the guards! They not only make you feel safe but they are very friendly and kind. Our stay was one of the best stays away from home in our travels. Thank you all! The only thing I would like to see different is a place to donate food, commodities, etc that families have not used and are unable to take home with them. Thank you and we look forward to another stay very soon.

Paradise is truly at the end of the island.
A wonderful stay in a spacious and clean rooms. The view was fabulous from the fifth floor. The pelicans would fly by maybe ten feet away. Having a full kitchen made meals easy. We stocked it up but preferred to use disposable dishes for simplicity (who wants to wash dishes on vacation). The outdoor pool was pretty chilly but hey, it was the end of a cool Spring. The surf was very clear but not as chilly. The sand was perfection. It puts Panama City to shame, never going back there! The grounds were kept very tidy and non-littered. Only one issue with the elevators but it was handled within minutes. Maintenance deserves some serious kudos. Driving around Fort Walton was a piece of cake, much better than Destin or Panama City. The majority of people that we came across were very friendly and easy to chat with. Seventeen miles of open beach next to El Matador make it easy to get away from the crowd. We'll definitely be back. Everyone should do themselves a favor and spend three or four days there to get away from it all. It was the most relaxing vacation I have ever had, period.

The views are always beautiful. The refrigerator kept everything cold but didn't look very good with rust spots all over the side of it!

Unit Review
Was a very good year on the whole in a new unit(456). There was a problem with a ceiling fan that took a week to fix. We told maintenance man that the light switch behind the end table closest to dining table didn't work all the time. And we would suggest that the carpet be cleaned--there were some really dirty areas. You girls in the office were really kind to us and answered all our questions and tried really hard to make us comfortable. On behalf of George and myself, thanks so much!!
