To make your Florida vacation unforgettable, our beach resort offers an array of amenities which includes two pools (one is heated seasonally), tennis/pickle ball and basketball courts, a fitness center, whirlpools, saunas, meeting rooms and more! Resting on over 12 acres, El Matador is beautifully landscaped and meticulously attended featuring lush palm trees and manicured lawn. The resort is accented by surrounding sugar-white sand, the sparkling surf, and is convenient to many unique shopping establishments fine restaurants and a variety of water sports.
Age Requirement: NO reservations will be accepted for singles under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian shall be allowed to supervise no more than 3 individuals under the age of 25. Parent or legal guardian MUST occupy the same room as those they are supervising. Any reservations made under false pretenses will forfeit all prepaid rents and deposits and will be required to vacate the unit.

We enjoyed our stay at this quiet resort located at the end of the street. Well kept lawn and pool. Rooms could use updated but it was clean and had everything you need. Beautiful clean beaches and amazing water. definitely would stay again.

Great Stay
Loved the complex - quiet and relaxing. Enjoyed views of the Gulf from the balcony and the undeveloped land and water next to the complex. Staff was great and immediately took care of a small issue I had with the TV remote. Would definitely stay again!

Great room
433 is a great place to stay for vacation. It was stocked with plenty of utensils and things to cook with. The beds were comfortable, the dressers had plenty of room for clothes and extras. The only things that need to be replaced are the shower doors in the master bedroom. It was very hard to open and close. The blinds in the living room were broken so they didn't turn to shut all the way so as soon as the sun came up it was extremely bright in the condo. I had kids sleeping on the pull out couch who woke up as soon as the sun was up because it was so bright. Maybe invest in some black out curtains. Overall it was a great room and we would definitely stay there again. My major complaint has nothing to do with the room at all but with housekeeping. Checkout time is 10am. They were knocking on our door at 7:50am Saturday morning asking when we were leaving. It was very rude. In the 20+ years I've been staying at El matador I've never had people rushing us out. Maybe they had some complaints the week prior for rooms not being ready by 3pm as stated when you arrive. We had to wait until 4:45pm to get into our condo when we arrived the Saturday prior. After driving 12 hours to get there, it was annoying to have to wait to get into our condo because housekeeping wasn't finished yet. If they are banging on your door at 7:50am to clean the place, then you would think it would be ready by 3pm when you check in.
Manager's Response: Our check-out time is 10:00am. No one should be knocking at your door that early and I am very sorry that it happened to you. I can only assume that there was some type of miscommunication between the front desk and housekeeping and they thought you had checked out. Once again, we are VERY sorry that this happened to you.

Great location, met all our expectations
This condo was very nice, had a great view and much quieter and less busy beach than other areas in Okaloosa. Not walking distance to many restaurants but still a preferred location for us. The areas were kept clean and everyone was very friendly. It would have been nice to have a washer /dryer in the unit due to limited towels etc. We would definitely stay here again though.

The Kitchen was very well stocked with cooking gear. The beach decor was great. Only 2 comments for improvement. The shower in the second bathroom had very poor flow and the vents in both bathrooms were in very poor condition.

We really enjoyed our stay, had a great time and this condo was very comfortable for our family. It would have been nice though if the shower in the Master Bedroom was a little bigger.
It was pretty narrow.
Other than that the condo had everything we needed. Really appreciated having ample hangers in both closets as well. Had a very cheerful, beachy feel!
We have been coming to El Matador for nearly 11yrs and this condo is now one of our favorites!!

Clean, Comfortable stay
We had a good time. We were comfortable. Staff was great. Our only complaint was that our first night there was Saturday night and upon opening our fold out couch, we found it broken and unusable. Unfortunately, we would be out of luck til Monday morning when office staff returned. Two of our family had to sleep on floor first two nights. Staff worked hard to rectify but it was frustrating to not have someone available to fix our situation for two days. Otherwise, it was a nice stay.

Nice week at El Matador

Perfect Vacation
We had a great time. Our condo was very clean and nice. My only complaint was trying to figure out all the remotes to the tvs. But my children eventually figured them out. We will be back to visit again! Thank you for sharing your condo with my family!
