Age Requirement: NO reservations will be accepted for singles under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian shall be allowed to supervise no more than 3 individuals under the age of 25. Parent or legal guardian MUST occupy the same room as those they are supervising. Any reservations made under false pretenses will forfeit all prepaid rents and deposits and will be required to vacate the unit.

Family reunion
The condo was nicely decorated. The furniture was sturdy and functional. I especially liked the deep soft couches. The kitchen had everything you could want, plenty of utensils and pans. My only complaint is the bed was very soft. You felt as if you were lying in a hole.

Great unit with an awesome view!
We had an awesome trip and enjoyed this unit! Pros-all of the beds were super comfortable, the view was amazing, kitchen was well appointed with everything you would need. There was a regular coffee pot as well as a Keurig. Loved the primary bathroom with the large shower and the walk in closet-great for storage. The balcony had an awesome view and the unit was super clean! Cons-the couch could use and upgrade, it was hard to get out of. It could use some extra wash cloths (this unit slept 6 and only had 6 wash cloths). I took extra so we didn't have to wash everyday. The towels and wash cloths were of good quality and extra soft. One of the important things to our family is good outdoor furniture because we stay on the balcony alot-this unit and one good set (2 tall chairs and tall table). The short chairs were nice but you couldn't see the ocean when you sat in them. We prefer to have 4 tall chairs. We like to play games and all of the units we had before had them. This one didn't even have a deck of cards. That's ok, I know it is hard to keep that stuff organized. This is an awesome unit with a great view and we enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect!

Fort Walton Beach
We rented a two bedroom two bath condo. The instructions given to us were pretty clear. I would suggest that they not highlight the code to the room in such a dark green so it’s visible to people that are new to your condo. I did report to the office that the chairs on the patio were very old and when we sat on them, they broke even further. I feel like that should be half Ben updated prior to our visit. I do believe that you could have seen that the chairs needed to be repaired and been proactive in that matter. Other than that I absolutely love the view love the condo and will be back to visit El Matador again at Fort Fort Walton Beach and would request this unit again. It was lovely to be able to sit on the porch and look at the ocean while having a cuppa coffee in the morning.

Home Away From Home
We've stayed in Building 4 (and once in bldg 3) at least 20 times. This was our first experience on the second floor as we usually prefer the top two floors. There were no issues at all with being on the second floor. This is a great remodeled condo, and we would stay here again. You are no longer permitted to walk on the Air Force property next door. We took the warning to heart as we talked to the regular fishermen who have seen and talked to people who were fined for being on the Air Force land. So, even though we have walked it many times, we skipped it this time.

Loved the improvements - kitchen, master bath, dining room table and chairs !! Would suggest new living room furniture in the near future. Possibly a recliner also. Sheet pans in the kitchen would be a plus also. Overall nice unit which we have rented multiple times !!

Check in was easy, and everyone was very nice. The upkeep on the grounds is very neat. Our unit was very nice, needs some work on the floor in master bedroom and on balcony. But I think that’s on the schedule. Everyone had a great time!!

Beautiful views!!!
We cannot say enough about the views from this condo! Every morning we’d start our day by opening the curtains to look at the ocean. We sat on the balcony a lot. Very short walk to the beach and the chair and umbrella service was a great perk. The unit was cozy and comfortable but some things were showing their age like the couch and high pitched buzzing coming from the living room tv. But not a huge deal. We love the El Matador and will be bringing our daughter back again!

Kitchen had all necessary items. Beds were comfortable. Living room is cozy and comfortable. Master bath and shower is very nice. Table is showing quite a bit of wear. And the cleaning could be done with a little more attention to detail (edges of bathroom backsplash, toilet tank lid is covered in black mold on underside, takes a long time to fill and toilet bowl is stained with a nasty black rim that doesn’t come off.). Sliding balcony door from living area leaks air when windy and makes a moaning whistle noise. We have rented this room three times now and like the view from balconies.

2nd visit to el matador
This was our family's 2nd time to spend our vacation at el matador. The grounds & beach are well groomed & clean. My family & I rented a total of four condos this trip. Each one was well kept, clean & affordable. El matador is a great place to spend a family vacation. We look forward to a third vacation there soon.

The room could have been a little cleaner. There was sand in the bedroom dresser drawers and had to call office for toilet and sink not cleaned in large bathroom. It is a comfortable room and has a cozy feel.

Ice maker needs to be fixed in 427.
A depression between the the pavement and the sidewalk normally used when loading and unloading cars on leaving and arriving at bldg 4 makes it difficult to crossover. The buggy wheels hang up in the hole.

2nd year at El Matador and still loving it. Great location, nice accommodations, friendly staff. Unit 427 is great, nicely appointed with a fantastic view. We will definitely be back and would not hesitate to recommend the El Matador, and unit 427, to our friends.

We really liked 427. It was nicely furnished. The condo had a nice things in the kitchen and a good laundry basket. The furniture was nice, wasn't s loving the couch at first but it grew on me. The balcony furniture was lovely as well as the view.

It is well worth the money. Family felt comfortable and at home. All amenities were awesome. The gate guards , office staff and ground crew were very nice. We will definitely return next year. Thank all of you for a great stay.

Amazing Wedding Week!
I have stayed at the El Matador since I was a young child and it was just as amazing as it was 30 years ago! Rooms are clean and beautiful! And the view from our room was breathtaking! It's always a pleasure staying at the El Matador!

Enjoyed our Stay
Everything was very good with the exception of the refrigerator. It didn't keep things cold enough. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay! :)

El Matador Vacation Property
The room that we stayed in is very clean and have fully functioning kitchen with modern design. The big plus is, it comes with free internet access. We would come back and stay there again.

Wonderful view from this unit! Great layout and all required kitchen equipment and pots. Only thing that needed updated was the bathtub in the master bath. Very small and mold around the surround. Balcony furniture was fantastic! Thank you for renting this great unit.

Reviewed refrigerator issues with office staff. Other than that, our entire family (we were in four units) enjoyed the stay at El Matador as we have done before. The spacious grounds and pools are excellent for a large family gathering.

Clean and Comfortable
It was clean and comfortable. We would stay here again. I will admit the parts of the condo that had been updated....bedding and kitchen counters were most appreciated. Still need a new refrigerator, tub/shower combination in master could be improved. As well as, adding another sink in the master bath. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

The BEST Vacation - Beautiful location, Excellent Accommodations!
I don't believe that we could have chosen a better location or date for our vacation. Our unit was wonderful - excellent view of the ocean, easy access to everything and the furnishings were so comfortable. We will be returning to this location, and hopefully renting the same unit! I have a feeling that we'll be bringing many friends with us next time since all we've done since our return is rave about everything!

Comments about our stay
We had a wonderful vacation! We enjoyed the upgraded condo, especially having the wood floors and large flat screen TVs. The size was perfect for our family, and the lack of hearing neighbors was wonderful. The staff was really friendly and kept the property clean. The temperature of the pools was perfect!!
We recommend that El Matador provide a towel service. Perhaps each condo can be given a set of towels that can be exchanged when needed. We did not enjoy having to wash towels.
We also recommend El Matador recycle! It was a shame to throw away so much glass and plastic that should be easy to recycle.
