El Matador Condominiums are located next to 17 miles of uninhabited beach. To make your Florida vacation unforgettable, our beach resort offers an array of amenities which includes two pools (one is heated seasonally), tennis/pickle ball and basketball courts, a fitness center, whirlpools, saunas, meeting rooms and more! Resting on over 12 acres, El Matador is beautifully landscaped and meticulously attended featuring lush palm trees and manicured lawn. The resort is accented by surrounding sugar-white sand, the sparkling surf, and is convenient to many unique shopping establishments fine restaurants and a variety of water sports.
Age Requirement: NO reservations will be accepted for singles under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian shall be allowed to supervise no more than 3 individuals under the age of 25. Parent or legal guardian MUST occupy the same room as those they are supervising. Any reservations made under false pretenses will forfeit all prepaid rents and deposits and will be required to vacate the unit.

I have been vacationing at the El Matador for 30 years now. Never once have I been disappointed in my trip. Even with a shellfish allergy and jellyfish stings lol… The El Matador is literally our home away from home. It’s what makes our trip completely relaxing. Great location, nice renovations, minor nits
We've stayed at the El Matador several times on business trips. This was the first for pleasure. We had a great time and will be coming back. This unit was the best we've stayed in. We wished some simple things like coffee filters, salt and pepper, and paper towels were provided. Overall a great trip.

We have stayed in 415 two years in a row. 8th year to El Matador. 415 has had updates done over the past few years and it shows. We love the unit and appreciate the Owners and El Matador Staff for making our stay wonderful. Only complaint this year would be the gentleman who ran the beach chair service. He was rude not only to us but others in our area.

Wonderful!!
This is my family's third visit to El Matador. We have had a wonderful experience every time. This was our first time in unit 415. It's a wonderful unit, very clean. Took us less than a minute to get to the beach, the pool was directly out our backdoor. Laundry room straight out our front door, as a mom this was a plus!! Loved the unit and will stay again. The water pressure in shower was low in this unit, personally I think it's just the shower head. The other units we stayed in, it was never a issue. We always have the best vacation here. Will definitely be back next year!!

Second time here, 415 is the best condo I’ve stayed in. Being able to go out the patio door and walk a few steps to the beach is amazing! Everything has been updated, the bed is super comfortable and this one so much nicer than other condos on the island! The complex is getting a facelift and it looks great

EXCELLENT STAY
Wow. The condo, the service, the amenities, the residents - all exceeded our expectations. We had our wedding at El Matador 10/30/21 & Cindy was so helpful in renting the Lounge to us, and the gate-keepers (ALL so friendly & helpful) guided our guests to the proper location for the ceremony. The residents were out on their balconies watching our ceremony, and even several of them came up to us the following day to congratulate us personally. The front desk staff were also so friendly when we were checking in & out. I look forward to coming back in the future for vacations/anniversaries! Thank you!

Wonderful time and beautiful condo
This was our first time staying at El Matador and without a doubt we will be back … hopefully we will be staying at 415 again. This condo was beyond my expectation … everything from the layout, the cleanliness, the location in relation to the pool and beach … all if it was perfect … only recommendation I have would be to have a ceiling fan installed in the bedroom. It was hard to leave after such a wonderful time. We’ll be back next summer! Thank you for a great time!

We were pleased with our stay. The unit was clean and well Stocked for our stay. The only negative I would say is that the mattress was not very Comfortable and the ceiling above the bed had a pretty large crack . The sliding door to the balcony was hard to close These I am sure are all simple fixes by maintenance Thanks for the hospitality and we Look forward to coming again soon

Thanks for the beautiful stay at El Matador, Our Condo was very nice and decor was great, we had a wonderful stay in 415. We had a problem with the sliding back door, it would not open or close. The doors sliding track is corroded and it doesn't move freely. We look forward in coming back to El Matador.

Very nice unit just a few steps from the beautiful white sand beach!! Even hurricane Sally couldn’t mess up our trip. This was such a refreshing place to stay compared to our usual overcrowded beaches in Destin!! We will definitely remember this place for our future Florida vacations!!

The doors wouldn't shut unless forcibly pull, and the screen door was broken. I enjoyed the grounds as usual. We come every year. Despite the tropical storms, it was a lovely stay. Thank you. Nice Condo!
We enjoyed the condo and it was exactly as pictured. It was so nice being on the ground floor and not having to get on the elevators, but you do trade your view of the ocean for this. The condo kitchen was well supplied with cookware. We enjoyed our stay and the condo was very clean and comfortable.

The Most Amazing Get Away
Our time at El Matador was the most beautiful and relaxing time that I can recall in forever!
We traveled from Tallahassee one day after Hurricane Michael, and the traffic on I 10 was totally blocked and stopped us for over an hour. After a LONG trip to Ft.Walton, the weather was beautiful and this particular unit was so clean and newly furnished that we felt an instant calm. I did not want to leave and will most definitely arrange to return.

Vacation at el matador 415
Condo was roomy and clean. Had a bit of a musty odor, but I guess should be expected being so close to the water. It was a little aggravating that the sliding door had to be locked with a broom handle. Overall it was a great experience and I will be taking the family back next year. I also thought It was really nice that previous guests had left water toys for future guests to enjoy as well. A great place to enjoy a Florida vacation.

Love El Matador
We have been vacationing at El Matador off and on for many years. This year as empty nesters we stayed in 1 BR unit 415. It was meticulously clean and had everything we needed during our stay. The grounds of El Matador were well groomed,the pool was extremely clean and the furniture in excellent condition. The only thing we noticed this time was the number of birds that would flock to the edge of the pool for a drink of water. Other beach accommodations we have used in other cities have elevated fishing line strung in an X formation above the pool to deter birds. Something for El Matador to consider. :-)

Beautiful Resort
This is our 6 year in a row to stay at El Matador we absolutely love it. This time though our Yeti ice chest was stolen off our patio on Thursday night. We were very upset that someone would do this. It's never happened before but we appreciate the staff looking thru the camera for us ... Hate a tree blocked the view. But we plan to be back . The resort is beautiful!

Wonderful Stay
I love the El Matador! This was my 3rd time staying at El Matador, as always it was just wonderful. The unit was clean and comfortable. This was my first time staying on the the ground floor. It was very convenient to the pool and the beach. The only thing that would have made it better would be being able to lock/unlock the sliding glass door from the outside. But we left it unlocked while going to the pool and beach and had no problems. We felt very safe the entire time. Can't wait to come back next year!

We were both very pleased with the condo, its location and access to the beach and swimming pool. The unit was clean and well stocked with dishes and utensils. Our only complaint was when the air conditioning failed 2 days before we were to leave. The temporary air conditioner was satisfactory, if a bit intrusive. Your staff was very friendly and helpful at each encounter. I will definitely recommend the El Matador to my friends and family and we hope to stay there again.

Wonderful accommodations ! Was disappointed when another guest told us we could rent a unit for the MONTH for $1200 when we paid $500 for a 3 day weekend .
Unit we had was perfect for us with a 17 month old . I do suggest a kiddie pool for smaller kids

great place to vacation
We love the El Matador. It is a great place to vacation. First, the staff is wonderful, friendly and accommodating. The units are immaculate as well are the grounds, pools, and parking lots, very safe too with around the clock security, all at a reasonable price. On the beach, close to town, great eating places - what else could one ask for? Our perfect vacation is: sleep, lay on the beach or by the pool, eat great seafood, sleep, lay on the beach or by the pool, eat great seafood, sleep…you get the picture. El Matador fills the bill in every way. We highly recommend it.
