This unit has been updated with new furniture including a flat screen TV. The bedroom has a "low profile" bed with tremendous views of the Gulf of Mexico. This unit has a wide balcony for you to sit back and enjoy the sunset.
El Matador Condominiums are located next to 17 miles of uninhabited beach. To make your Florida vacation unforgettable, our beach resort offers an array of amenities which includes two pools (one is heated seasonally), tennis/pickle ball and basketball courts, a fitness center, whirlpools, saunas, meeting rooms and more! Resting on over 12 acres, El Matador is beautifully landscaped and meticulously attended featuring lush palm trees and manicured lawn. The resort is accented by surrounding sugar-white sand, the sparkling surf, and is convenient to many unique shopping establishments fine restaurants and a variety of water sports.
Age Requirement: NO reservations will be accepted for singles under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian shall be allowed to supervise no more than 3 individuals under the age of 25. Parent or legal guardian MUST occupy the same room as those they are supervising. Any reservations made under false pretenses will forfeit all prepaid rents and deposits and will be required to vacate the unit.

Excellent, from a repeat visitor
This was our second year, and we chose this unit both times. The resort is amazing, and the unit is great. You could tell as soon as you walked in the door that the condo had been cleaned floor to ceiling, and walk straight out to the balcony to see the perfect view! Very likely will be back next year.

Bed was very comfortable and the unit was nice and clean. We cooked in 2 of our 4 nights and would suggest a serving bowl and slotted spoon. Also maybe have the appropriate coffee filters on hand? We bought some as did another guest. Bathroom felt a bit dated and the ceiling vent was very noisy. Beautiful view and would love to stay here again!

What an amazing experience
This was our first time staying with El matador, and what a great experience! Our room was incredible, and the view....just WOW! Waking up to the view of the beach and water, just breathtaking! The only complaint I would have would be the "spa" experience. The jacuzzi in the men's side was not heated and cold, and the women's did not have functioning jets. Also the coed hours were a little inconvenient. Only 2 hours in the morning and 2 in the evening. The spas should just be remodeled to be a large hot tub, for all. Not like people would utilize them for inappropriate things if they're more open. We really enjoyed the family atmosphere, the pools, and the beach access. Everything was very accommodating for all. We have already booked for next year and are looking forward to visiting again!

wonderful unit! my only suggestion would be for management to add 1 prepak envelope of coffee and condiment pkg with coffee for the first night for all of us checking in late for next morning...also 1 roll of paper towels for starter.

4th year of staying at El Matador. We hope to come back again. Kitchen sink was a little confusing at first. Hot is cold and cold is hot according to little display on sink handle. At first we didn’t think that we had hot water. Thanks for the heads up on water cut off times so we could plan our showers before 10 am. We will be back, just hope we have better weather. Lol 69 and 70°, rain and storms were not ideal for our stay in Florida.

The unit was above average but needed a few updates (e.g., window treatment especially in the bedroom}. Would have liked the bedroom windows to be operable. Needed more supplies for the kitchen (e.g., paper towels, dish detergent). Very clean unit and the view was spectacular. I would rent again for a short term stay.

Our stay
We had a great stay! Our room had amazing views.. I was a little worried that the view wouldn't be as good as in the pictures but it definitely did not disappoint. We had something happen with our son and needed to get in contact with the property manager, Lori and she was so helpful and professional! The only negative thing I would say is the window in the bedroom is super thin and being close to the pool we heard alot of noise in the evening but once it calmed down it was fine (around 10 pm). Also the blinds in the bedroom let alot of light in so a better window covering would have been nice. Overall we would definitely stay again.

This unit was perfect for our beach trip! It has an amazing view with a large balcony and perfect balcony furniture. The unit was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. El Matador grounds were beautiful, and this property sits at the very quiet end of Okaloosa Island. There were some signs of wear in the unit (chipped cabinet paint, etc), but for the price, it was perfect. We will be back!

We LOVE El Matatdor!!!
As always, El Matador was fabulous! Friendly staff and well kept space. It is the perfect place for a family vacation. We love the green space to relax and gather in the evenings. Our unit lacked some essentials in the kitchen (mixing bowls, pans, containers) but everything else was excellent. The only negative was we were not notified as promised when our room was ready and had to call to check ourselves. We will be back next year!!!

October on the Gulf
We spent the last week of October at El Matador 354. Although this unit is beginning to show some wear, it really still deserves a good rating. The view is beyond compare. There is no bad moment, meal or cocktail on a balcony with a Gulf sunset view! The beach is all that a vacationing, book reading, sand-castle builder like me could ask for. We also enjoyed the pool and the gym. The complex itself from location to amenities to how well it is maintained is really great. The Staff, security folks and the leasing office were all extremely helpful, pleasant and polite. We spent a few minutes chatting with one of the Board members and it was easy to understand why he is so dedicated to El Matador and why El Matador is truly spectacular.

Outstanding service from everyone at El Matador. Beautiful property. Beach service went above and beyond giving us advice about calm places to kayak. This particular unit desperately needs blackout drapes in the bedroom and in the living area, it gets very bright as soon as the sun rises. No complaints other than that though.

Condo was very nice, clean and exceeded expectations. All areas of grounds are well kept by El Matador staff, who were all very hospitable and professional. Very much enjoyed my week here and will plan a return visit soon. I would highly recommend El Matador to anyone wishing to have a great vacation at the beach.

The room was well equipped and had a very nice view. The staff were friendly and helpful. We rented chairs and umbrella on the beach each day, and got some great tips for places to eat in the area from the young guys that were in charge of the chair concession. Ft. Walton is really a nice area to visit, our time was well spent!

My family and I stayed in 354 El Matador for spring break 2016 and would highly recommend this condo. It was clean, well-kept, roomy and nicely decorated with a great view of the beach. The condo staff were all very friendly and accommodating with several things to do on the grounds such as tennis, whirl pool, sauna & game area.

We will be back!
My husband and I were down for his sister's wedding so we decided to stay at the venue. Our view was excellent and the grounds were well taken care of. If the weather had cooperated our trip would've been perfect but we really enjoyed ourselves at the property.

Amazing quiet getaway
Our stay was amazing. Your facility is amazingly clean and well maintained. Our particular unit was tastefully decorated and well furnished. Your beaches are the softest and cleanest beach we have ever seen, and the area is close to a variety of shops, but is far enough off the beaten path to provide some peace and quiet. It is perfect for some R&R. We will certainly be returning and as we get closer to retirement, my wife and I will be looking to purchase sometime in the future.

Great time at a great place.
The condo I stayed in was very nice with a great ocean view from the balcony. The facilities were very clean and well kept by the employees. The security people, person at office and all the workers were very friendly and nice. It is quite and peaceful and all the other people staying there were nice and friendly also. The beach is great and due to the El Matadors location at the end of the strip of condos you can take your pick of walking to a crowded area with a lot of people one way or to a more private area the other direction. Had a great time here and will be back.
