Resting on over 12 acres, El Matador is beautifully landscaped and meticulously attended featuring lush palm trees and manicured lawn. The resort is accented by surrounding sugar-white sand, the sparkling surf, and is convenient to many unique shopping establishments fine restaurants and a variety of water sports.
Age Requirement: NO reservations will be accepted for singles under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian shall be allowed to supervise no more than 3 individuals under the age of 25. Parent or legal guardian MUST occupy the same room as those they are supervising. Any reservations made under false pretenses will forfeit all prepaid rents and deposits and will be required to vacate the unit.

Arrangement was great for me and my daughter with 4 littles. We enjoyed the space and balcony views of the Gulf and the pool. Beautiful! The only drawback for us was not having inside condo laundry machine. Very accommodating hospitality!

I do love this condo and view. The kitchen is perfect. My only complaint is 2 things that can be fixed. The master bed was very hard and uncomfortable and linens smelled like they sat in a wet pile too long. The other is I could barely get any hot water for a shower and the tub drain stopper was broken. I hope these items can be taken care of before our next stay. Other than those comforts, we did love our stay.

Very nice unit and updated kitchen which was top notch with the open look and new appliances, cabinets and granite. The view from the balcony was excellent as well. Owners updated this unit in an excellent manner and had the unit equipped with extra kitchen items. We loved the unit and would like to come back again. My only issue though is the price increases of these units as it's nearly 1K higher than 2 years ago for a similar unit. We'll be back to this complex but have to balance out the prices with the units. We've rented a unit at El Matador about 20 times over the past 25 years and met some great people while there who continue to come back! Thanks!!

BEST KEPT SECRET. This unit was especially nice. Very well appointed. Nicely updated. Great views. I’ve stayed in many units in buildings 3 & 4. This one is top of the list. Thank you for the update efforts. The refresh was done well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Great stay in unit 341 again!
This unit offers a beautiful view of the pool and beach! It has everything you could possibley need to cook and enjoy yourself with your family. This is our 3rd stay in this unit and our 6th stay at El Matador. We had 5 adults in our unit and we had plenty of room. The master bed was nice and comfy, the twin bed was confortable but the full size bed had a sink hole in the middle. The only other negative was the keys for the front door. We had five adults and we only had 3 keys and it was problematic at times. Would be much easier with a keypad lock. This unit was clean and offered so much, we will be back!

Great, updated kitchen, appliances, and furniture. The only downside was the front door didn’t have a regular lock, only a chain lock keeping it closed. Our one year old grand-daughter could easily open the door and run out so if someone left the room, we had to chain lock it and someone had to open it for them. Simple update could have prevented many headaches with that one. Also, the sliding glass balcony door is very difficult to open from the outside.

My husband and I went to the beach to celebrate our 17th anniversary. We stayed in condo 341, it was beautiful, clean and beautifully appointed. We throughly enjoyed every minute we were there. We will definitely stay there next year.

Up to date, nice and open unit with great kitchen. Bedrooms were fine with renovated bathrooms. Water pressure in showers could be better. Great location will definitely ask for unit again.

Loved the view from this condo of the beach, ocean and pool. The condo was very clean and decorated beautifully. The kitchen has all the dinnerware and cooking utensils are plentiful. Enjoyed our stay and would love to come back to experience more of the wonderful sunsets.

This was our first time staying in this unit. It had everything we needed and more. Beds (other than pull out sofa) were comfy. It is updated and the view can’t be beat! The owners are so smart and thoughtful. They utilized every square foot to maximum the space. We will for sure be back to stay in this unit again!

The room was updated and furnished nicely. We always wish there could be a double and a twin in the second room for another couple. The twin beds were ok, but not really comfortable. We loved the large kitchen! The view and location were excellent! We would definitely recommend and stay again.

Elegant, clean and comfortable as always, we always come back to this unit. Love the bar chairs on the deck - nice to see the entire landscape!
Just two comments for the owner, 1. the living room table is either loose or broken, it's pretty wobbly and potentially dangerous especially for kids. And 2. the remote control interface circuitry in the living room TV is apparently fried. It interprets any and all remote buttons as "mute" and "unmute" (it would occasionally respond to a channel input, but then would be stuck on that channel). It can only be controlled from the onboard switches on the left side in the back (which have very limited function). The remotes work on the other TVs so it's not the remotes, it has to be the TV itself (and new remote batteries didn't help).

Clearly one of El Matador's best!
A clean, updated unit with of course the full ocean view. Modern kitchen that actually has cooking utensils, nice updated bathrooms, and the bar stools and table on the balcony really allow you to enjoy the view. We've already reserved it for our next trip!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I can't think of anything I would change. The condo is decorated and lit in a cozy style.
The facility as a whole is clean and well maintained. The staff is wonderful...we didn't want to leave!

I LOVE IT AT EL MATADOR, I GOT MARRIED ON THE BEACH THERE!!! I WAS THERE IN 2012 WITH MY FAMILY AND THE WHOLE AREA LEFT A LASTING IMPRESSION. LAST YEAR WHEN MY (NOW) HUSBAND WERE THINKING OF WHERE TO MARRY ON THE BEACH.. I SAID WE SHOULD DO IT AT EL MATADOR....ITS PRIVATE,LOTS OF PARKING, NOT A HUGE HIGH RISE, GATED AND WITH A GUARD AT THE ENTRANCE, AND ITS QUIET. WE PLAN ON COMING BACK IN 2018. I WOULD LOVE TO PURCHASE A UNIT THERE SOME DAY.

A wedding and vacation to remember!
We chose to stay at El Matador and had a wedding ceremony there on the beach. We also rented the lounge for our reception. Everything was wonderful. Friendly and accommodating staff and clean and well maintained condos and property. Our condo in 341 was absolutely beautiful!

Nice Condo!
Very nice condo, beautiful inside and the view was amazing. Only downside, TV in the living room was in and out all week, they fixed it twice but it kept going out.

We loved the condo. It was very spacious and the view was amazing. The only negative was the code on the condo was not available for our use. This would have come in handy when my daughter misplaced the key. The key was found AFTER we had to pay $50.00 to get in the condo, boooooo. Was hoping this would be credited since the key was found.

We've been staying a week at El Matador every year for about 10-15 years now. This is the nicest unit we have stayed in and will attempt to get this unit next year. A/C went out one evening and must give kudos to maintenance who were on it immediately. Appreciated the portable A/C until it could be fixed later on same day. Everyone from main office staff, grounds keepers, security to maintenance were super friendly. Could not have been more pleased. Certainly not a big deal; however, only suggestion for the unit would be to add a mop (we would have mopped mid week cause floor got a little nasty). Hall bathroom shower door handle needs tightening -- it's loose and almost fell off. Only other issue was mattress in master not so comfy. Again, merely a suggestion and not a complaint. Thanks to owners for all their wonderful upgrades making it the nicest unit ever! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back again next year.

vacation rental
the unit we originally rented had a water leak so we were asked to move to a recently remodeled unit. It was very nice. we did have a problem with the ac working but Lori in the office was very quick to try and get it fixed. The office staff is very helpful and accommodating, the quards at the front entrance are very friendly and always polite, the grounds are well kept and the staff is constantly working and cleaning. The El Matador is the place we always want to stay. Now the beach. Its beautiful. the fact that there is miles of undeveloped beach to the west of the condos is wonderful. Don't change what you do just keep doing it with the great customer service that you have in place. Thank you for the wonderful vacation. See you again real soon
