Resting on over 12 acres, El Matador is beautifully landscaped and meticulously attended featuring lush palm trees and manicured lawn. The resort is accented by surrounding sugar-white sand, the sparkling surf, and is convenient to many unique shopping establishments fine restaurants and a variety of water sports.
Age Requirement: NO reservations will be accepted for singles under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian shall be allowed to supervise no more than 3 individuals under the age of 25. Parent or legal guardian MUST occupy the same room as those they are supervising. Any reservations made under false pretenses will forfeit all prepaid rents and deposits and will be required to vacate the unit.

Nice condo, beautiful unit 332. Reported plumbing leak in guest bathroom hope it is fixed before the next rental. The boardwalk needs inspection and repairs, nails sticking up, this was reported to one of the maintenance guys.

Just wrapped up our first visit and it was wonderful. Staff was friendly and our condo was perfect! The condo had a cute beach vibe, furniture was comfortable, kitchen was stocked with dishes & pans and the overall cleanliness was spotless! We enjoyed sitting on the deck everyday & the view was amazing. Also loved the keyless entry which made it easy for the kids to come and go when they wanted. Two thumbs up & I’d totally come back again.

We used to stay at El Matador every summer when my dad was alive, however, when he got in the final stages of Alzheimers we could no longer make our annual summer vacation. We had not been to El Matador in years. It was so great to see that nothing has changed. It was the first time staying in Bldg #3, the unit and view was PERFECT! The El Matador staff was friendly as always! Hope to purchase a condo there once retired!

Condo was very cute. I don't normally care though because we are not in it much. View was fantastic, only thing they could do is have newer mattress. Otherwise great unit!

This was a delightful unit with great views of the gulf. The decor was beachy and charming and the unit's kitchen was fully stocked with cookware, appliances, etc. The only thing that kept me from giving this unit an excellent rating were the bedroom pillows. THEY NEED AN UPGRADE! Foam rubber went out eons ago.

As usual, the El Matador was wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Been going there since the 1980's. There was one minor problem. The door lock on unit 332 needs a major cleaning out or, most likely, a good WD-40-ing. The key was hard to insert, and the knob is loose, making it difficult to lock/unlock. See you next year!

First time staying in El Matador
This was our first family vacation with two young children. The condo was beautifully decorated. It was well stocked with cooking pots and pans, utensils and dinnerware. Plenty of towels for the week, extra blankets and pillows, plus satellite TV. The grounds of el matador was very well maintained and clean. The swimming g pool was well maintained (just extremely cold). The view of the beach and gulf were amazing from our balcony! Only negative was screen on balcony door from master bedroom wasn’t on the actual door, it was just leaning next to it. Overall our stay was excellent. We look forward to making this our vacation spot for years to come!

I'll Be Back
Stayed a week. Room was nice, the view off the balcony was amazing. You get your privacy. This is the 2nd year in a row we've stayed and we will definitely be back!

Great vacation spot!
Gorgeous view. Well stocked kitchen. Very clean. We had a wonderful vacation.
The only suggestion I would make is more frequent garbage pickup. The chute was often backed up with nowhere to put trash.
Also a towel exchange a couple of times a week would be good since there are no washers and dryers in the units.

The unit was everything the person who sold me on it said it would be. I LOVED the beach an the pool area. Parking was easy access an the people at the front entrance always smiled. I will consider coming back :)

Review of unit 332
All was wonderful except for one thing: There was no hair dryer. Almost all vacation rentals provide hair dryers. So if it is not provided, that fact should be pointed out to prospective renters to inform them to bring their own hair dryer. I was told everything I needed would be there.
