Our family was so excited to rent and stay in Unit 326 as we had check it out last year while vacationing in another unit in the same building. We love the kitchen and how stocked and everything is thought of, wine cooler, additional sink, bar just amazing. We also enjoyed the view from the balcony each morning of our stay. The master bedroom and shower, walk-in such a delight. The guest bedroom with the full-sized bunkbed on top of the queen bed was wonderful for our grandson and his parents. What we would like to mention for the guest bedroom is that a luggage rack for the closet, a nightstand under the bunkbed to put additional clothing, and a box fan. We did ask the office for a box fan to use during out stay but there were none. We did go out and buy one for the week. Also, we were without one of the toilets as it was leaking down to the floor below which we did not know Friday afternoon and Saturday. Our master bedroom toilet was not running or showing any signs of leaks. We did book this unit for next year 2025 for our family vacation. I did ask for a discount towards 2025 for the toilet being out of service and staff in the office said they would ask and see if they could discount our stay for 2024 as we were checking out. As of 6/13/24 we have not been notified either way. We look forward to returning to El Matador and Unit 326 in 2025 and the future with our family.

Excellent unit. Very clean and spacious. Great view of the pool and ocean. Unit had everything we needed. Would absolutely stay there again. El Matador never disappoints.

We’ve been coming to Fort Walton for 37 years and enjoy the gorgeous beaches. It’s always a little tough to find a great, tastefully decorated condo to stay at while we visit, but this condo was so nice and inviting! I would absolutely stay here again!

Everything was excellent. Very clean and beautiful.

We loved the condo. It was perfect for our family of 4. My only negatives were that the floors were dirty. You couldn't see that they were dirty, but the bottoms of socks and little feet were black within no time. Not the condo's fault, but maybe the cleaning crew needs a reminder. And there were not enough towels and washcloths for a family of 4. This was ok, we did laundry a few times. The couch and chair were super comfy, but need a good cleaning. They are light colored, so understandable with the environment. Overall, we LOVED this condo and the entire resort. We would definitely stay here again. The beach was great. The pool was great. There was never any loud or obnoxious guests or inappropriate behavior for my kiddos to witness (they are 4). The resort was clean all the time. It definitely has more of a family feel than a party feel which is what we were looking for this year. The renovations to the unit are lovely. My husband even googled the balcony furniture to see if we wanted to buy some for our home. The boys loved the bunk beds. There were plenty of plates, cups, silverware, etc., for our needs. We had a great week and look forward to returning. I had not seen many reviews in general about El Matador. I think this is a hidden gem of a place. I would definitely only stay in one of the gulf facing units though, but that is me. When I am at the beach, I want to see and hear the beach. Not having a washer and dryer in the unit was not a huge deal as other reviews mentioned. The washers were right down the hall from us, we had no issues using them. If the units came with chair service that you didn't have to pay for that would be fantastic. Didn't much matter to us, we just plopped out blankets down and had fun anyway, but would be nice to have a chair and umbrella. Overall, we had a great week and look forward to coming back.

Unit 326 was not only beautiful but also very cozy! A perfect fit for our family of 5! The second bedroom is great for children! The unit is beautifully renovated and the second full bathroom is was so accommodating for us. We were so pleased with this unit, definitely our favorite thus far!

Absolutely love vacationing here. The condo we stay in has everything you need, including 2 chairs and an umbrella at the beach!!! The staff are super nice and very helpful. Everything is kept clean and very inviting. The location is perfect, right on the beach but away from the main tourist area so it’s quiet. Highly recommend staying here!

What a perfect way to end the summer with the grand children. Condo and grounds were clean and the pool and beach perfect.

We try to get to the area at least twice a year. ElMatador is always our go to. 326 was our favorite one so far! Very comfortable beds, and a huge variety of kitchen supplies! We will be back!

The renovations to this unit are stunning. However, there is no place empty to put your groceries. All the cabinets are either full of dishes and glassware or locked. This makes keeping the kitchen orderly very difficult. We love the unit and will stay there again, if possible, but would like room for supplies. The bed was very comfortable and the furniture is very comfortable, though a bit worn.

It was even more beautiful than the pictures. The view was amazing. The location is fantastic. You are right down the road from everything, but you don't hear any road noise. It definitely felt like a home away from home. We were there for my little girls 5th birthday, and it truly could not have been any better.

The views for the balcony were incredible. We watched the sunset every night. The kitchen has a bar with bar stools seating plus a dining room table. The condo was updated from the tile floors to the granite counter tops. The patio furniture was updated and very comfy and Both bathrooms were nice. The beds slept great ! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving trip and we will see you next year !!! The Browns Georgia

We stayed a week and it was perfect! The room had everything we needed. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Excellent access to the beach, clean pool and spa area. I would highly recommended El Matador to anyone, we plan on making it our permanent yearly vacation.

The place was incredible never using a hotel again . It felt like home . Everything was cleaned was beyond comfy even though the main bed was uneven it was still comfy . Honestly it makes you not want to leave and buy a place here . But the unit top notch !

This unit is very nicely furnished especially for a rental property. Love the layout, very open and plenty of seating. The view of the gulf from the balcony was also excellent. Having easy access to the pool and the pair of beach chairs with umbrella pre-setup daily on the beach for me was a very nice perk. plenty of cookware, plates, utensils and appliances. I'll be going back.

We loved this condo so much! Beautifully decorated throughout, clean as a whistle and possibly the best shower-head I've ever used! Views were spectacular and being at the end of the Island made you feel like you had the beach to yourself. Highly recommend this unit!

Our family has the privilege of staying here during our move from NWFL to south Florida. This condo gave us a very “home away from home” feel. We felt safe, comfortable, and had all the amenities we could need. Plus, the sunsets were amazing from the oversized balcony. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone considering a stay along the Emerald Coast!
