El Matador Condominiums are located next to 17 miles of uninhabited beach. To make your Florida vacation unforgettable, our beach resort offers an array of amenities which includes two pools (one is heated seasonally), tennis/pickle ball and basketball courts, a fitness center, whirlpools, saunas, meeting rooms and more! Resting on over 12 acres, El Matador is beautifully landscaped and meticulously attended featuring lush palm trees and manicured lawn. The resort is accented by surrounding sugar-white sand, the sparkling surf, and is convenient to many unique shopping establishments fine restaurants and a variety of water sports.
Age Requirement: NO reservations will be accepted for singles under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian shall be allowed to supervise no more than 3 individuals under the age of 25. Parent or legal guardian MUST occupy the same room as those they are supervising. Any reservations made under false pretenses will forfeit all prepaid rents and deposits and will be required to vacate the unit.

Good stay
Great place to stay. Only issue was that I told a lady behind the desk early one morning about some blood that was in an elevator on the floor from maybe someone cutting their foot. The next evening the blood was still there. I found a Maintenance guy and told him and it was cleaned up right after I told him. That’s the only issue that there was at the condo. We will rent again at El Matador.

Great condo!
My friend and I enjoyed a nice relaxing girls trip and this condo was perfect. The view from our balcony was amazing and the interior was so very comfortable and had everything you could want. We will definitely be back. This was our second visit to these condos and we have loved each time.

Great faculty - few dislikes
The site and land was very clean and well kept. Staff was friendly. Things I did not like - you have to buy everything as they will not let items from previous renters stay - like Dish Soap, coffee filters, Never have i been to a place that cleans everything out and not let anything say, Even have to buy more toilet paper, All Vacation rentals people leave condiments and minor things for next, Other thing I dislike is the rental of beach chairs, REALLY .... Let guests use them for what were paying

A very nice, very clean and comfortable condo. I like carpet in bedrooms and living rooms and this had nice newer carpet in both. I loved the keyless entry. The king size bed was nice and comfortable. The windows were kind of hard to open though. The screen door to the patio needs to be replaced as it was ripped and will let bugs in. It was nice having a desk in the room for computer work and a recliner for watching television. A few quirky things I wish were different...the shower doors seem to be backwards. The handle is on the outside, which makes it hard to close when you got in. The shower was nice though, good water pressure. And the towels seemed newer and pretty soft. The batroom door is weird, had to use the plunger as a door stop to keep it from being in the way of the toilet and shower. I wish the room was a little higher up and a little farther down so I could have seen the beach and the sunsets from the balcony. But overall it's a nice room. We weren't in it as much as we were out enjoying all that Florida had to offer!

We usually stay in bldg 4, but chose unit 324 in bldg 3 this time. The unit was very nicely remodeled and beautifully decorated with the beach theme! It was very clean and the bed was comfy! We loved the view and location! We will definitely come back to this unit in the future and recommend to our friends and family!

Loved our room
We absolutely loved our stay at El Matador. Our room was perfect with the ocean view and close to the pool. The only issue was the dishwasher, we had to push the door and get in the right spot to come on. Let people know or go check it. Definitely would recommend this room!

Room was very spacious, view was great with easy walk to beach. Pool was clean and cool, room was clean, beds were pretty comfortable. Ice maker didn’t work and the bedroom window leaked twice with a rain storm that left the carpet wet. Husband got stuck in the elevator with 2 ladies that were freaking out for about 10 mins. This has all been reported to be repaired.

This was our first time staying at El Matador. We stayed in Unit 324. Amazing!! We even had our wedding on the beach there. Grounds were beautiful! Unit was very spacious and clean! Kitchen had everything we needed. View of the ocean and the pool from the living room and bedroom. Balcony was huge! We ate breakfast and lunch on the balcony every day. Entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved our time there! Absolutely loved the condo. We are planning on booking the same unit each year for our anniversary. Loved, loved it!

The living room space was fantastic. Check in was smooth and efficient. View of the beach and sunsets always a plus. The unit has a mildew odor that was covered by a scented candle thanks to Publix. The remodeling of either the unit above or near by was annoying. Nice place great weight room.

This was our third time staying at El Matador. ALWAYS nice & a great stay. Clean & the grounds are so well kept. This unit was perfect as the others have been as well. I very much enjoyed the weekend with ya'll. Could lay in bed and watch dolphins frolic in the waves. The beach and pool were both gorgeous. The condo is decorated very nicely and the bed was comfortable. Will likely be returning someday soon.

We have now stayed at El Matador a few different times when vacationing and have never been disappointed! I would highly recommend El Matador to anyone visiting the area, as the place is kept up with to the highest standards and the staff is very kind. Thank you again for another amazing vacation!!
We absolutely loved our room (324) as it was very spacious and gave our little man plenty of room to crawl around! The bed was extremely comfortable (more comfortable then ours at home lol) and the view was perfect. We will be staying in this room again during our next vacation if it is available. This unit has become one of our new favorites, because we can walk down the stairs and back up and never use the elevators at all! It's good exercise. The unit itself is great and very comfortable.

Condo was nice
We have stayed in this same condo for about 18 years and most of the years twice. The only complaint that we have is the sofa is dirty and smells. Other than that, the condo is very nice. I guess you could say we enjoy this condo since we try to reserve ahead in order to get this condo.

Great vacation destination.
We really enjoyed our stay, 2nd year in the same condo. The location is excellent right on the beach and the last condo, which makes the beach more private and only a stones throw away. The property is well maintained. We hope to stay here again in the future.

The unit is fairly well stocked, excellently stocked in the kitchen. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. While we typically prefer to be a bit higher in the building, we did enjoy the high top table and chairs on the balcony that allowed us to see over the pool.

Always excellent at El Matador! The ladies in the check-in office are so helpful and everyone at the security guard stand is so nice! This is our very favorite place to stay!!! If only y'all could figure out a way to keep the seaweed away!!!!!!

Our stay in unit #324 exceeded our expectations. We were very pleased with the staff and the facilities. We were there celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary as a gift from our son and his family.

Perfect Week
Whenever we visit the Ft Walton area we always stay at the El Matador. We have stayed in unit 324 several times.The staff and service is always exceptional.
The only suggestion I have is that it would be nice if a beach umbrella and two chairs were included with the unit. Otherwise it's perfect.
