To make your Florida vacation unforgettable, our beach resort offers an array of amenities which includes two pools (one is heated seasonally), tennis/pickle ball and basketball courts, a fitness center, whirlpools, saunas, meeting rooms and more! Resting on over 12 acres, El Matador is beautifully landscaped and meticulously attended featuring lush palm trees and manicured lawn. The resort is accented by surrounding sugar-white sand, the sparkling surf, and is convenient to many unique shopping establishments fine restaurants and a variety of water sports.
Age Requirement: NO reservations will be accepted for singles under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian shall be allowed to supervise no more than 3 individuals under the age of 25. Parent or legal guardian MUST occupy the same room as those they are supervising. Any reservations made under false pretenses will forfeit all prepaid rents and deposits and will be required to vacate the unit.

Great condo on the beach!
I had a wonderful time staying in this well equipped condo that had everything we needed right there! Just steps away from the beach and pool! Since it is on the ground floor you did not have to wait on the elevator. The decor was very beachy and beds were both very comfortable! All the areas for sleeping had TVs which was also nice! I would definitely stay here again!

Great Condo!!
This condo was wonderful! It had a fully stocked kitchen which was wonderful if you plan on eating in a lot!! The beds were comfy and the location was conveniently located to the beach. Loved the beach themed decor and the space between the bedrooms! Would definitely stay in the condo again in the future!!

El Matador is an outstanding resort in a great location. The resort was very well groomed, the staff was very attentive, friendly and helpful. Our unit was clean, well equipped and spacious with all the necessities. The beds were comfortable as well as the showers were hot with great water pressure. The first-floor unit had a nice patio and made for an easy walk to the pool and beach.

Wonderful Stay in FWB
The El Matador was awesome…. Our walkout condo was so convenient…. The space was well appointed and very nicely decorated, Great Beach vibe….. and right on the beach too. Very large pool steps from the patio….where you can enjoy coffee or cocktails in this most relaxing space. I liked the fact the bedroom are separated, this makes it feel like you can accommodate everyone’s sleep schedule……no need to tip toe around. I would stay here again.

My only complaint would be since it’s close to the trash, it needs to be sprayed a little more often for bugs. But we have already booked this room for next year!!

Upsides - Ground level. Close to the parking lot. The place was updated and the kitchen we well stocked. Toilets are pressure assisted and work great. The towels were good. Room for improvement - I killed 2-3 roaches per day during the stay in November. Acknowledge that the room is the closest to the trash chute/dumpster and unsure if this is driven by a season change. The power outlets are well worn, so anything you try to plug-in falls out easily, and some aren't receptacles firmly fastened to the receptacle box and shift side-to-side.

Perfect Vacation Condo
This condo was absolutely what I needed! It was beautifully decorated, big beds in both rooms, and a full size kitchen. It also was only a few feet from the beach. It was very peaceful at night. Every morning we made breakfast in the condo (abundance of cooking ware provided) and sat on the patio to listen to the waves. I would highly recommend this place for the ultimate getaway vacation spot, and I certainly will be coming back.

Great room!
This is our 3rd year at El Matador and our first time on a bottom level room. It was great to be able to walk straight out to the beach and pool but that meant we lost our ocean view. As a family with small children (meaning LOTS of beach stuff to tote) we were happy for the shorter distance. Overall, it was a great trip! Only suggestion: I noticed several doors with key codes. That would’ve been very nice to have on our door as well.

This is our 4th time to stay in this unit. It's nicely decorated, clean, comfortable and convenient. The unit kitchen is stocked with everything you need. Beds are comfy enough. We love staying in this unit. We hope to continue to stay here for many years to come, until we can purchase our own unit at El Matador. I've been coming here for over two decades and things are only getting better!

We love El Matador! We stay every year and my husband has been going since he was a baby! Our room was very nice and had everything we needed! The staff is always extremely nice and only a short distance to the beach! We are already planning our stay for next summer!

Our condo was nice, the door knob was hard to operate., microwave was very small couldn't put a dish in it.
The trash bin was loud and distracting. Last the TV was difficult to operate, and we didn't have the codes to watch the free movies. The complex was beautiful and we loved being close to the water and pool. We had had an incident while we were there a gentleman using marijuana, my husband followed him the second time he was staying in 222. I did not appreciate that around my grandchildren, he was floating on a raft by them

Outstanding Experience!
This was our second year coming to the El Matador. We originally came here because of the lower price but was nervous about what the condo conditions would be like. The price does not indicate anything about the quality of the rooms. Both units that I have stayed in had very nice kitchens, bathrooms, and furniture to go along with them. The management is great and friendly and can answer any questions that you have. I recommend this condo to anyone coming to the Fort Walton Beach area.

Our favorite place!
I’ve been coming to El Matador for nearly 30 years. I now bring my children every year. It is “our place” to rest and slow down, while having uninterrupted family time. Unit 319 is our favorite. Clean and comfortable. Everything you need is in this unit. We love the ground level and the decor is lovely. We stop in Navarre for groceries and do not leave again until checkout. We love the privacy and laid back atmosphere of the El Matador. Our plan is to own a unit of our own here one day!

Great time at El Matador!
We had a great time on our vacation, and 319 is the best unit we've stayed in (but don't tell anyone so we can get it next time!) ;-) I wish all of the units are as nice as this one! Everything was very clean and orderly, the beds were very comfortable, the kitchen is updated and has everything you would need, etc! Check-in and check-out was easy and a great experience overall!

This was our first visit to El Matador and we could not have been more pleased. The check in and check out process was extremely easy. Our unit was spotless, comfortable, and spacious. We were greeted at the gate each time we returned with the nicest ladies. This will be a place we return to for many years with our family!

The condo was very clean as expected. Well furnished kitchen with high grade pots and pans. Beds were very comfortable. Air conditioning was excellent. Would suggest putting ceiling fans in both bedrooms and gathering area and front patio. This would cut down on air conditioning. Loved the decor. A little pricey though. Would choose this unit again in the future.

We have been staying at the ElMatador for 25+ years and enjoy it every time. Loved all the updates for 319. I was planning on staying in another unit because 319 needed updating bad but now we will stay again.
I want to book it for next year. Starting on July 8th, for two weeks. If I need to call please let me know.
Again, we enjoyed our 17 days and will be back next year

Fantastic for Family of 5 Fun!
This unit is updated and has everything you need for your vacation. Conviently located. Clean. Kitchen stocked with everything a cook needs. You will want to bring paper towels and liquid dish soap though. Our family enjoyed our time at El Matador and hope to continue making yearly memories in unti 319.
