To make your Florida vacation unforgettable, our beach resort offers an array of amenities which includes two pools (one is heated seasonally), tennis/pickle ball and basketball courts, a fitness center, whirlpools, saunas, meeting rooms and more! Resting on over 12 acres, El Matador is beautifully landscaped and meticulously attended featuring lush palm trees and manicured lawn. The resort is accented by surrounding sugar-white sand, the sparkling surf, and is convenient to many unique shopping establishments fine restaurants and a variety of water sports.
Age Requirement: NO reservations will be accepted for singles under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian shall be allowed to supervise no more than 3 individuals under the age of 25. Parent or legal guardian MUST occupy the same room as those they are supervising. Any reservations made under false pretenses will forfeit all prepaid rents and deposits and will be required to vacate the unit.

Great stay!
We had a great time! We love that El Matador has security and is so perfectly situated near the beach. The condo was ready way in advance. I believe we checked in around 12 or so and only waited about 30 minutes to an hour for our room. Check in typically isn't until 3, and we were prepared to wait on the beach. This was much better than expected!

The only reason I didn't give excellent review on unit 317 was because the shower door seems to be off track and difficult to move and the toilet in the guest bathroom was leaking. Otherwise, this unit was perfect for us. Thank you.

We would recommend room darkening curtains in the master. And a taller toilets would be nice for older folks (that's a more minor concern though). The kitchen was very well equipped. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Outstanding unit!! Cannot wait to return!
We stayed in this unit with friends and it was absolutely perfect for the 4 of us! The beds we very comfortable and each room felt very private and spacious. We loved spending time on the large deck and we could walk right out to the beautiful pool or better yet, the white sandy beach. The condo's are very private located at the end of the island and you can walk right out and enjoy miles of white sandy beaches without crowds, and yet very close to restaraunts and shopping. We will definitely be back!

317 El matador
This was a great weekend at the El matador. It’s such a family oriented place and never feels overcrowded. Beaches and pools were well maintained plus weather was perfect this week. Our rooms were perfect loved kitchen had everything you needed from cooking there. Only thing I think they needed to upgrade in 317 was all there TVs way to small and smart TVs would be nice addition become bulk of people staying there could use their personal accounts besides that great place for family vacation I’d recommend it to anyone.

We always enjoy our stay there. The only complaint is the tv in the main room went out and we spent our last day andnight as a family watching in the bedroom or not at all. Aside from that we loved it. We can't wait to come back next year.

The condo was in good condition and clean. The only complaint is that it did not seem to be "aired out". Other than that it was great. We enjoyed it very much. It does need some updating but it is in good shape all the appliances worked, etc. and all the items needed for eating, cooking were there. Plenty of storage space. We enjoyed our stay, but we always enjoy El Matador regardless of where our condo is located.

Need a broom for renters to use throughout week.
Have stayed at other units and had access to outdoor closet with chairs, toys etc that other renters had left behind. We bring our own but lots of the people we travel with fly and love having that access. All outdoor and most indoor closets locked for owners. Bathrooms clean and nice. Furniture and kitchen amenities great! Location is awesome! We like being on ground floor by grass for kids to play and easy access to beach! Great unit!

We love every minute that we spend at the El Matador! We have been coming there since about 1978 or 1979. My children first, then my grandchildren, and now my great grands. Thanks for keeping everything looking clean and well taken care of.

The room was excellent. We had 7 people in our group and it was perfect. We have been staying at the El Matador since the early 90's and will continue to do so.

Off the beaten path means ... RELAXATION!!!
We enjoyed our stay at El Matador, room 317. After an initial concern was immediately fixed, we had a wonderful time! The first-floor room allowed us to come and go to the beach easily, especially with a 7-year old, and was well equipped. The staff and security personnel were wonderful and we had a very relaxing vacation. Being the last property on the island allowed us to feel less "packed-in" because it was less crowded. We will most certainly visit again!
