Staying at the El Matador was excellent as always. My family has been vacationing at the El Matador for over 40 years, and we have always had a wonderful time. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. Unit 255 was wonderful. I would recommend it to anyone. Great experience.

Above Average
The 2 main things that were an inconvenience were we only had 2 sets of bathroom towels for 2 people for a week’s stay. Also, the 2 sliding glass doors and screen doors to the balconies were either very hard to open and shut or could not use at all. We love to sit on the balcony or have the door open to get fresh air inside in the evening. We didn’t get to do either of those things all week. One more thing, the dishwasher had nasty standing water inside so we had to wash dishes by hand.

Amazing as usual
I have been coming to El Matador since I was just 1 year old with my family. My grandparents owned two condos here and our whole family loves this nostalgic vacation destination spot. Please keep El Matador just the way it is, it makes it unique in every way!

Vacation in Room 255
Room 255 was beautifully decorated with a homey beach vibe. There was a washing machine right next door. I loved the big patio that opened from the living room and the bedroom. There were TVs in every room and a pull out couch in the living room. I can not wait to go back there.

Our unit 255 is a beautiful, very comfortable and clean condo . We enjoyed our vacation much more staying here! Loved the views from both sides and especially from our comfortable beautiful balcony . Everything we needed was at this unit . We will be back !

Perfect beach getaway!
My husband and I stayed one night in unit 255. It was very spacious with an oversized balcony. Views of both the ocean and the bay from the condo made it an extra special find. Very updated kitchen and bathroom with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We were able to walk to the beach just a few steps away and watch a beautiful sunset. Although we didn’t have any guests with us we noticed a pull out sofa. We definitely plan to return to stay at this WOW property right on the beach!

Could not ask for more! My children & I loved every second we spent in Ft. Walton and at El Matador! Everything was exactly as pictured and the owners of the condor literally thought of everything. The balcony gets the early morning sun and is perfect in the afternoon because it is total shade and just perfect! Thank you for such a simple process, from beginning to end. We will definitely be back, not only to FWB but to El Matador, hopefully unit 255!!! Thank you again and you all stay safe from Michael!

Week in Paradise
We vacation to the emerald coast every year in November. This was our first time staying at El Matador. We stayed in unit 255. The unit was well equipped with everything we could have needed for our stay. We much prefer staying in a condo as opposed to a hotel. The unit had plenty of room for us and our granddaughter. We especially like the easy access to the beach and we enjoyed our view of the gulf from The balcony while enjoying a cup of coffee every morning. The bed was roomy but a little uncomfortable for us as we are used to our adjustable Tempurpedic at home. We had a great time and plan to spend 2 weeks next year.

Expectations Exceeded!
By far the cleanest and most well equipped condo we have ever stayed in! The short walk to the beach and pool from building 2 was wonderful. Although it wasn't beach front, the view of the ocean on the HUGE balcony was still amazing. All beach and pool toys are left by the unit's owners for visitors to use which was an added bonus. First time to Ft. Walton and very pleased with how family oriented it is. The beach also isn't crowded in this particular area which made it easy to find a spot to set everything up. 5 stars for sure! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

El Matador for the Holidays 2015
After my first stay at El Matador, I was convinced I wanted to move there! The condo could not have been better. Everything we needed was there and it was quiet and comfortable. The staff who worked around the buildings were very nice and helpful. I know where I will stay the next time I am in Fort Walton Beach, Florida!

Unit #255 has a great view, even though it is not right on the beach. This unit was very well maintained and comfortable. This is my 4th year staying at El Matador. I have staid in one bedrooms in buildings 3 and 4, but I think this is my favorite so far.

Awesome Unit!
This is our third time staying at the El Matador and the first time saying in Unit 255. The decor was beautiful! Everything we needed was at our fingertips. The only small problem I had - which was not a large issue, so I never inquired - was that I was never able to get my laptop to log in to the wifi even with the sign on and passcode I was given - I think the problem may have been on my end. The only other thing was we only had 2 rolls of toilet paper and on our last day, we ran out, but I purchased some more. We will most definitely stay here again and highly recommend this unit. Thanks!!!

Perfect size for the two of us. Clean and well equipped with our basic needs. Just a short walk to beautiful well kept beach area. Wasn't crazy about the small lobby area and elevators but would stay here again!

Condo was very nice. Clean and supplied all of the items that we needed for out stay.
We made good use of the amenities at El Matador loved having access to a pool. Did not understand why you wanted $10 for access to the sauna and whirlpool though. We thought everything was including in the rental price.
This was our 2nd stay in this condo and we hope to return soon.

All of the folks are the greatest. The office girls were eager to help us with any needs. They are a credit to your business. Also the committee that takes care of all the social events are the best. The condo and beach areas are tops. The gate guards get an "A" also. We look forward to our return next year.

Our unit was great with the exception of the view. You can not see the ocean from the living/kitchen area. You have to go on the terrace to see the water. However, we were with three other couples and our unit was more inviting regarding the updates and color scheme. Our terrace was larger than the other three units. We had a great time and for the price difference, we would request this unit again.

Very Comfortable
Our family worked hard to save for our vacation. We loved it!! The condo was comfortable, homey and not overly decorated with knick knacks. I loved having a laundry basket!! Little things like that is what helped me stay budget minded. The oven was wonderful. Thanks!
