Living room has a sofa sleeper with a large screen TV and access to the balcony which has an incredible view of the courtyard and the Gulf of Mexico. Both bedrooms have queen size beds, flatscreen TV's and DVD players. Bathroom has a tub/shower combination with an extra sink / dressing area. To make your Florida vacation unforgettable, our beach resort offers an array of amenities which includes two pools (one is heated seasonally), tennis/pickle ball and basketball courts, a fitness center, whirlpools, saunas, meeting rooms and more! Resting on over 12 acres, El Matador is beautifully landscaped and meticulously attended featuring lush palm trees and manicured lawn. The resort is accented by surrounding sugar-white sand, the sparkling surf, and is convenient to many unique shopping establishments fine restaurants and a variety of water sports.
Age Requirement: NO reservations will be accepted for singles under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian shall be allowed to supervise no more than 3 individuals under the age of 25. Parent or legal guardian MUST occupy the same room as those they are supervising. Any reservations made under false pretenses will forfeit all prepaid rents and deposits and will be required to vacate the unit.

Is it Time to Come Visit Again Yet?
This was our second stay at El Matador, and I would not want to stay anywhere else! Room 243 was just beautiful, great layout, plenty of room for my family, and even a great ocean view from a building that isn't as close to beach front as the others. The complex has everything you could possibly need for a family vacation, the grounds are beautiful and well maintained, and we made many friends and memories on vacation this summer. Because of this location, the beach isn't crowded and feels like your own little slice of paradise! Visit GI Jane for a good waterfront dinner, and other attractions are just a short drive away! Can't wait to see yall again!

We were in town to visit our grandson who is stationed at Hurlburt AFB. Do to the hurricane lodging was severely limited. We were delighted to find El Matador. Our unit was very clean & spacious. I was able to cook meals which our Grandson really appreciated. The location to town and beach was really nice as well. We were able to relax, visit, play games, etc. the unit was well supplied with coking utensils. Thank you for providing a quality facility. The staff & Amanda who checked us in we're very accommodating. The facility was fairly close to grocery, entertainment, & other shopping areas. Thank you for providing us a wonderful place to stay. Amanda gave us a warm welcome. Also having the grocery carts available, and an elevator to get supplies up to our quarters was very nice.

We love staying at the El Matador. Our condo was great, just a few things that were noted: the sliding door did not lock, the toilet would not always flush, the dishwasher door would stick, and there were run marks all over the walls from the air vents in the living room. My only other concerns was the front door only had one lock. Anybody could make a copy of that key and come in your unit at night time. I would suggest a chain or a dead bolt, just to make people feel more safe. Thank you!

We have visited many beaches and stayed in many places. El Matador is the best for quiet
and safe accommodations. It is next to EGLIN AFB at the end of the road. The staff has
always been great. Looking forward to our next visit.

We have been coming to Fort Walton Beach for over 40 years. Only place to stay is El Matador. Not the newest or fanciest but the way we like it SAFE & QUIET! Quiet family place with lots of green space. Well built and sound proof. Great staff always ready to help when and where needed. Thank you to all owners & staff for making this condo the BEST.

We loved it!!
The location is great and the unit, 243, was so beautiful and cozy!! Loved that everything we needed was already there and it kept me from having to pack so much! I am a single mom and felt very safe here with the boys. The location is great and not in the way of crowds! Everything we needed was in one location to include beach front, pool, heated pool, spa, basketball courts. We didn’t really have to leave but we did venture out to Destin for dinner each night which is only 6 miles away! The owners were very nice and very helpful with the reservation process! This will be our go to place from here on out!

Amazing Condo
The condo itself was very nice, loved the shower. The only problem was that one of the TV's in the bedroom did not work, not a major issue. The staff was wonderful

Loved it!!
This was my first time staying in Destin and I will have to say I will absolutely be returning. The beach was gorgeous and our condo was amazing. It was very comfortable, I felt like I was at home. I loved how close we were to the beach and also how I felt very secure because of the security checking who entered the property . I loved it and would stay again.

The unit is very up to date, gorgeous kitchen, beautiful decorations. I would definitely stay here again! We had a problem with the air conditioner and the management company quickly took care of it and the company they sent out to fix the unit was awesome!

The complex is very nice and amenities very well kept.
The apartment was decorated very pretty.
Bed sheets and pillows very clean. Mattress very comfortable.
The only thing is that we found the living room, dinning room, and articles on the closet shelves to be dusty.
Front office and security staff very polite.
We will definitely be back and definitely recommend the place to family and friends.

The unit exceeded our expectations! The unit was updated, modern, beautifully decorated and well supplied. We would Definitely rent it again! It was very relaxing being at the end of the island yet it was close enough to all the area attractions and restaurants.

Exceeded expectations
Our condo was extremely pleasant, recently updated, and allowed 4 adults and 2 children plenty of space without feeling claustrophobic. The location was great, close to the water and far enough away from the busy streets that you could take nightly walks without feeling worried about traffic. My oldest asked me if we could stay there next year, which I would be more than happy to do. Thanks for a great condo and time!
