El Matador Condominiums are located next to 17 miles of uninhabited beach. To make your Florida vacation unforgettable, our beach resort offers an array of amenities which includes two pools (one is heated seasonally), tennis/pickle ball and basketball courts, a fitness center, whirlpools, saunas, meeting rooms and more! Resting on over 12 acres, El Matador is beautifully landscaped and meticulously attended featuring lush palm trees and manicured lawn. The resort is accented by surrounding sugar-white sand, the sparkling surf, and is convenient to many unique shopping establishments fine restaurants and a variety of water sports.
Age Requirement: NO reservations will be accepted for singles under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian shall be allowed to supervise no more than 3 individuals under the age of 25. Parent or legal guardian MUST occupy the same room as those they are supervising. Any reservations made under false pretenses will forfeit all prepaid rents and deposits and will be required to vacate the unit.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at El Matador, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. The unit's location made walking to the beach or pool a breeze. The unit was bright and clean. Highly recommended!

Very nice and cozy unite
We have stayed at El Matador numerous times. We like the accommodations, the property is kept clean and safe place to stay. Safe, relaxing , amenities of the condo we're very nice and the building lay out allows for units to have an ocean view. Unit 145 was very comfortable and home-like, beautifully decorated with a homey beach vibe. There was a washing machine right next door. Loved this room, very well stocked, close to the beach and pools. There were TVs in every room and a pull out couch in the living room. Loved the big balcony with the gorgeous view of the gulf that you could access through both the living room and bedroom. The unit had everything someone could possibly need to accomodate cooking and fun activities. Just one thought, needs a new mattress I think because of it softness did not give me to sleep in the master bedroom, I slept on the couch in the living room. It was a very nice stay anyway. Will definitely come back!

I love El Matador!!!
We have stayed at El Matador a few times. We like the accommodations, the property is kept clean and safe place to stay. The unit had everything someone could possibly need to accomodate cooking and fun activities. There were TVs in every room and a pull out couch in the living room. Great Place For The Price
Nice Condo for the price to stay in for the week but unfortunately the Internet wasn't the best and the bedroom TV wouldn't work. It wouldn't be a big deal if it didn't rain constantly the week we were there, but when you have kids it would have been nice to have the Internet running well for online games and an extra working TV. None of that would have really mattered if the weather wasn't an issue. Otherwise the unit was really nice and there were extra beach items to use the few times we made it to the beach. It was out first time vacationing in that area and we just had bad luck with the weather. We do plan on coming back next year and staying at the El Matador.

My wife and I were extremely happy with our accommodations. We stayed in unit 145. The staff at El Matador were very friendly & professional. This was our 1st trip to the Ft. Walton/Destin area, but we are definitely planning to come back. Thanks to the entire staff at El Matador for making this an enjoyable vacation!!

In good condition
The buildings are beautiful especially at night. The place is well maintained. Although the buildings do not directly face beach, guests can walk to the beach without crossing a road. The rooms are clean, something not to be taken for granted. There is a large grassy area where people can play frisbee, etc. Overall, a great experience.

Excellent location
Sits right on the beach on Okaloosa Island facing the Gulf, with its spectacular blue/green water adopting the name "the Emerald coast". It is also very nice that this condo complex is at the end of a multitude of complexes, which gives it a nice quiet and somewhat secluded atmosphere. It's also right around the corner of the Gulfarium, which my daughter loved. Nice pool. The Condo unit has everything you need. For an older build, it is very nice.

We had a wonderful time at the El Matador the room was nice the location was perfect beautiful beach great place for families with kids. We plan on coming back next year with a bigger group of family.

My family and I have been staying here for over 15 years and I continued to bring my own family down since I got married and had children of my own. We love the El matador. It's always clean and everyone is always so nice. We only got to stay 4 nights This trip but it was a wonderful trip. Our room was very clean and in a great location. We met some outstanding people while on the beach as well. The only complaint I have is there should be some sort of handicapped access in to the beach itself and a few more handicapped parking spots. Also there should be a beach wheelchair made for the disabled available to those in need. Our son is 11 and depends on a wheelchair to get him around. It is very hard to get a 95 pound child up and down the steps and down to the beach by carrying him along with everything else we brought to enjoy our days on the beach. Other then that we had an amazing trip and we will be back to the El matador many more years in the future.

Family reunion
My family reunion was held at El Madator. We had use of the Fiesta Room and kitchen while there. It was great to have a space to meet and the ability to cook our evening meals together. The condos varied in what they had to offer. Mine was clean and very nice - sufficient for my needs while there. The El Matador is secure and a clean grounds. Access to the beach was good. Also convenient location for food shopping- able to avoid some of the heavy traffic in the area.

Great value and view!
At first I was disappointed when I learned I was in building 1 because it is farther away from the ocean. However, once I looked inside I was pleasantly surprised. The way the buildings are constructed ALL buildings have a view of the ocean. I was able to hear the waves which was so calming, even with the doors closed. I would most definitely go back and I would recommend it wholeheartedly.

My stay at El Matador
Have been going to El Matador for over 20 years! Have yet to be disappointed. Employees are friendly and helpful and I consider El Matador the best condominium complex on Santa Rosa Blvd because if it's location!!!!

Great condo
Excellent condo, loved the big fully equipped kitchen,ice maker was a plus. Very nicely furnished and comfy king bed. Patio was biggest we have ever had and was pleased that it had so many beach accessories, we enjoyed using the floats. A little farther from beach than we are used to but still lose enough for comfortable walk. The satellite had a few fuzzy channels but not too bad. Only. Thing I missed was having a washer n dryer in the condo instead of having to wait to use community washer on floor. Overall we were very pleased! Great condo for great price!!
