This newly renovated unit located in building one on the first floor and has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. The kitchen is well-equipped so you can enjoy a great meal when you feel like eating in. The living room has a large flat screen TV with a blu-ray player, a sofa sleeper that will accommodate two people and access to the balcony that opens to the large courtyard area. The bedroom has a king size bed and a flat screen TV with a blu-ray player. The bathroom has a separate dressing area and a tub/shower combination.
El Matador Condominiums are located next to 17 miles of uninhabited beach. To make your Florida vacation unforgettable, our beach resort offers an array of amenities which includes two pools (one is heated seasonally), tennis/pickle ball and basketball courts, a fitness center, whirlpools, saunas, meeting rooms and more! Resting on over 12 acres, El Matador is beautifully landscaped and meticulously attended featuring lush palm trees and manicured lawn. The resort is accented by surrounding sugar-white sand, the sparkling surf, and is convenient to many unique shopping establishments fine restaurants and a variety of water sports.
Age Requirement: NO reservations will be accepted for singles under the age of 25 unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian shall be allowed to supervise no more than 3 individuals under the age of 25. Parent or legal guardian MUST occupy the same room as those they are supervising. Any reservations made under false pretenses will forfeit all prepaid rents and deposits and will be required to vacate the unit.

Enjoyed our stay!
Very nice and updated condo. Easy access to the beach and big pool. It didn't have a washer and dryer in the condo but a community laundry was located across the breezeway.

Nice accommodations. Comfortable bed and furnishings. Well equipped kitchen. However, needs new cookware. Pots and pans highly scratched. Knives are beginning to rust.

We really enjoyed our vacation!
This was the first time we stayed at El Matador. We really loved the location, lots of fabulous seafood restaurants to eat out and beach was not crowded since this condo is the last one on Ft. Walton so no other condo's on one side. There is 17 miles of beautiful natural beach to walk and explore!I also loved the 2 pools.

Nice stay. Cute condo!
Nicely decorated & updated condo! The complex is located on the gulf side & this unit is just a short walk to the beach which is very beautiful. The grounds are very well maintained & the pool area is very nice! You cannot beat the emerald coast beaches with their white sands and crystal clear waters.

Loved this room, very well stocked, close to the beach and pools. Very clean and decorated very nice. Staff was friendly and I felt safe with the security around. Had a wonderful time and will stay again when we come back.

All in All... we loved it! Only two issues. 1. Bathtub drain stopped up 2. Master Bed squeaked very loud. Woke us up when we turned over. Bought ear plugs.

Totally enjoyed ourselves. Always nice to stay at el matador. The condo was nice. But the pools were very cold. Could not swim in them. The pool should be heated according to weather not a date.

Good Overall Visit
Decent price, clean room, plenty of towels, convenient location to laundry, not a long walk to the pool or beach.
However, I suggest that the beach chairs available on the beach be free for the guests. I also wish the hot tub had been more accessible - it was somewhat hidden I suppose for privacy, but that made it creepy. I feel like it was an invitation for something bad to happen there rather than protection from anything bad happening. It'd be nice to have a hot tub the family can use.

Beautiful remodeled condo on ground floor with gourmet kitchen
We loved the black out curtains and comfy bed
The owners need to install an ice cube maker or supply ice cube trays that was a small but needed item
There was a gorgeous tv in the living room but it didn't work, had maintenance out twice to look at it
Apparently the computer to run it had been taken out by an electric issue
Needs to be repaired before next rental

Unit #115 Family Vacation
We were beyond pleased with this unit. We normally stay in buildings 3 or 4, so we weren't sure if we would like being in building 1. We loved being on the ground floor with a large patio table (seated 6), the walk to the main pool and beach was not bad at all. The unit was extremely clean, the kitchen was well stocked with items we needed, and it was evident that the owners gave a lot of thought in making the unit beautiful. The decor was superb and coordinated throughout the unit. My family loved having smart TVs in the unit so they were able to watch Netflix, etc. We have been coming to El Matador since the 80s and always feel like we are at home here. The only down side to our experience was the grass was never mowed on the large lawns between the buildings the entire week we were there, June 30-July 6, there may have been a mowing schedule we aren't aware of, it just would have been nice to have it mowed while we were out playing in the evenings.

Loved the condo. Loved the open concept. Loved the decor. The sofa bed was very comfortable. Best one of the the three we rented. Even though a 1 BR, we had plenty of room when our family of 12 gathered for meals. Only negative was the king size bed needed a headboard. Manager's Response: Thank you for reviewing your stay. The king size bed now has a headboard : )

Beautiful condo
Beautifully decorated and very modern. Whoever owns this condo took great care with small details. For instance the bedding was comfortable as well as pretty and the kitchen was stocked with everything one might need and every item was more than adequate. Nicer pots and pans than I have at home! We had one hiccup when the back lock broke and staff took care of it within an hour or two and were very friendly. The grounds are beautiful as well. Short walk to the beach and pools. Would definitely stay again.
